Sometimes the moment you stop over-giving is the moment everything changes.

When I pull back a little, some people get confused.
Some drift.
Some even retaliate.

And that taught me something important.

If my absence creates punishment instead of curiosity,
the connection was being held together by my effort — not mutual care.

I wasn’t being chosen.
I was being relied on.

So now I’m learning this:

• I don’t explain my boundaries into exhaustion

• I don’t chase clarity with people who avoid it

• I let silence do the sorting

The people meant for me don’t punish balance.
They meet it.
