Have you ever reached the end of the day and thought
“I feel like I just got through that.”

Not experienced it.
Not enjoyed it.
Just - got through it.

I see this a lot when it comes to nutrition and wellness.

🌿Skipping meals because there’s no time
🌿Grabbing something quick and hoping it works
🌿Feeling your energy dip halfway through the day
🌿Trying to stay present, but feeling off

And when you’re traveling or in meetings all day, it can feel even harder.

So the goal becomes:
“Just make it through.”

But it doesn’t have to feel that way.

When you have the right kind of support, things shift.

*You’re not constantly thinking about food.
*You’re not running on empty.
*You feel more steady, clear, and present.

You actually experience the day.

That’s what I help people create - simple, realistic ways to support themselves at work, at home, and while traveling.

Because wellness should help you feel better in your life, not just something you try to “fit in.”

If you think about your day today, did it feel like you experienced it… or just got through it?

I believe that wellness is not a destination or something we get to when we have time.

Everyone has the right to feel well, no matter where they are, at work, at home, or while traveling.

For the past 16 years, I’ve heard the same thing from clients, over and over again:

“I just want to feel better.”

They leave our sessions feeling motivated and ready to make changes.
We talk through nutrition strategies and options that fit their life.

But when they come back they’re frustrated, discouraged, and sometimes even carrying guilt or shame.

Why?

Not because they don’t know what to do.

But because the environments they return to don’t support it.

☑️Long workdays with no real breaks
☑️Evenings filled with family responsibilities
☑️Work trips with back-to-back sessions and limited food options

So they try but get limited results.

That’s why I created Rest By The Willow.

To move beyond individual strategies
and start helping organizations and event planners create environments that actually support people.

Because when people feel better in their body:
☑️They have more energy
☑️They focus more clearly
☑️They engage more fully

And yes, that leads to stronger performance and better outcomes for everyone.

I’ve helped many clients plan and travel more intentionally so they can feel better during their day and while away.

Now, I’m focused on connecting with leaders and the travel industry
to create environments where people don’t just get by, they’re supported in how they work, travel, and live.

Because they don’t just deserve that support.

They need it.

Does this reflect what you’re seeing in your own work or travel experience?

If you’ve ever felt like you’re just trying to get through your day, especially when work and travel are involved, you are not alone.

I hear it all the time:

✔️Skipping meals because there’s no time.
✔️Grabbing whatever is available and hoping it works.
✔️Feeling your energy drop halfway through the day.
✔️Trying to stay present, but feeling exhausted.

And when travel is involved, it can feel even harder.

Not knowing what will be available.
Feeling out of routine.
Coming home more exhausted than when you left.

It’s frustrating, especially when you want to feel better.

But this isn’t about trying harder.
It’s about having the right kind of support.

Because when you have a plan that fits your real life, everything changes.

🌿You have food that actually fuels you.
🌿You don’t have to overthink every decision.
🌿You feel steady, clear, and more like yourself.

You’re not just getting through the experience, you’re actually in it.

That’s what I help people create.
Simple, realistic strategies that work at work, at home, and while traveling.

So you don’t have to keep starting over.

If this sounds like you, what’s the hardest part of staying consistent right now?

One thing I see over and over again with the women and professionals I work with
is how much stress they carry around food.

Because they’re often left to figure it out in the moment.

At work, it looks like:
🌿Back-to-back meetings
🌿Deadlines
🌿Grabbing something quick or skipping meals altogether

And when travel comes up, that stress increases:

“What will be served?”
“Will there be anything I can eat?”
“Do I just deal with it and hope for the best?”

That constant uncertainty takes a toll.

Not just physically but mentally.

But when we take a little time to plan and create access to the right resources, everything changes.

Clients tell me:
“I felt steady all day.”
“I didn’t have to overthink every meal.”
“I actually enjoyed the experience.”

Because when you have what you need:
🌿You have more energy
🌿You feel more at ease
🌿You can be present in what you’re doing

That’s what I focus on, helping people create simple, realistic plans so they feel supported at work, at home, and while traveling.

If you have a trip or busy work week coming up,
what’s one thing that would help you feel more prepared?

For a long time, I thought people struggled with wellness because they weren’t consistent.

But after 16 years of working with clients, I see it differently.

I hear things like:

“I know what I need to do, I just don’t do it.”
“I’ll work on this when things calm down.”
“I’ll get back into a routine after my trip.”

And the more I listen, the more I realize that
it’s not about knowing what to do.

It’s about trying to do it in the middle of a life that doesn’t always support it.

Clients are managing:
🌿Busy work schedules where breaks don’t feel possible
🌿Travel that adds more pressure before and after
🌿Family responsibilities that don’t pause
🌿And expectations to keep everything moving

So wellness becomes something they try to “fit in” later.

But later rarely comes.

That’s what’s been sitting with me.

Because people don’t need more information about what to do.

They need support that actually fits their life
at work, at home, and while traveling.

That’s why I’ve been building something different with Rest By The Willow.

Not just helping individuals figure it out
but looking at how we can better support people in the environments they’re already in.

Because feeling better shouldn’t be this hard.

If this resonates with you, what feels like the biggest barrier to taking care of yourself right now?

What I wish more people knew about staying well while traveling…

You don’t need something new.

You don’t need a new diet.
A new product.
Or a perfect plan to follow.

Because that’s what we’re often told, right?

“If I just do this one thing that things will finally change.”

But the truth is, especially when life is full and you’re traveling,
wellness doesn’t come from doing something extreme for a short period of time.

It comes from getting back to the basics.

🌿Getting enough sleep.
🌿Taking time to eat.
🌿Moving your body.
🌿Giving yourself space to reset.

Not perfectly, but consistently.

And in a way that fits your real life.

That’s what I focus on with the women and professionals I work with.

Because when your habits align with your life,
you don’t feel like you’re starting over every time you travel.

You actually feel better during the experience and when you come home.

If you have a trip coming up, what’s one basic habit you want to stay consistent with?

“I’ll just figure it out when I get there.”

I hear this all the time when it comes to travel.

And honestly, most of us have said it at some point.

We go into a trip, whether it’s for work or with family, thinking we’ll just:
🌿Grab food when we can
🌿Rest when there’s time
🌿Make it work as we go

But what usually happens?

🌿We skip meals.
🌿We feel off our routine.
🌿Energy drops.
🌿And we come home more exhausted than when we left.

I worked with a client recently who used to experience this every time she traveled for a conference.

By the end of the day, she was drained, overwhelmed, and just trying to get through it.

Not because she didn’t care about her health, but because she didn’t have a plan that actually fit her schedule.

So we changed that.

✔️We looked at her itinerary ahead of time.
✔️Planned when and what she could realistically eat, based on her specific nutrition goals.
✔️Found simple options near her hotel for snacks and the ride back to the airport.
✔️And created a plan for coming home so she didn’t feel behind.

After the trip, she told me:

“I actually felt like I enjoyed it.”
“I had energy the whole time.”
“I didn’t come home completely exhausted.”

That’s the power of intention.

Because wellness isn’t something you figure out in the moment.
It’s something you create ahead of time so you can actually feel better during the experience.

If you have a trip coming up, what’s one thing you can plan ahead that would help you feel more supported?

There’s a big difference between wanting to feel better and actually creating the kind of wellness that works in real life.

For a long time, I thought I was being intentional.

Setting goals.
Trying to “fit in” healthy habits.
Doing what I thought I should be doing.

But it didn’t stick.

Because it didn’t match my life.

It wasn’t until I started building small, realistic habits around my schedule, my family, and my work that things began to shift.

🌿Protecting my sleep.
🌿Taking time to eat during the day.
🌿Moving my body in ways that fit my schedule.

Simple things but done consistently.
Not perfectly, but consistently.

Now I see the same thing with the women and professionals I work with, especially when it comes to travel.

What we think is being intentional might look like:
“I’ll figure it out when I get there”
“I’ll just grab something quick”
“I’ll rest when I get home”

But intentional wellness looks different.

It looks like:
🌿 Planning meals and snacks around your travel schedule
🌿 Knowing where to grab food or groceries ahead of time
🌿 Choosing meals that actually keep you energized
🌿 Setting boundaries so you can rest and be present

And the difference?

Clients come home saying:
“I actually enjoyed the trip.”
“I didn’t feel exhausted the whole time.”
“I felt like myself.”

That’s what intention creates.

Peace of mind
Alignment with how you want to feel
Experiences that turn into meaningful memories, not something you just push through

As you think about your next trip, whether for work or with family:

🌿How do you want to feel while you’re there and when you come home?

🌿What’s one intention you can set to support that?

👇 Share one intention in the comments—I’d love to hear it.

This photo means more to me than it probably looks at first glance.

We’re standing at ‘Ohana in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, the place where I started my career in hospitality.

‘Ohana means family.
And I remember what that felt like inside those walls.

Watching families laugh together.
Seeing the joy on a child’s face meeting Mickey Mouse for the first time.
Families sharing a meal before heading out for a full day of adventure.

At the time, I saw the happiness.

But now, I see it a bit differently.

Because after 16 years of working with women and professionals, I know what so many people are carrying behind those moments:

🌿Exhaustion
🌿Stress
🌿The pressure of work and home
🌿The hope that this trip will help them finally feel better

And too often, they come home needing a vacation from their vacation.

That’s what shaped the work I do today.

Because wellness has to work in real life,
not just when everything slows down (because let’s be honest… it rarely does).

It has to work in your schedule.
In your travel.
In the middle of everything you’re managing.

This trip felt full circle for me, bringing my family back to where it all started.

And a reminder of why I care so deeply about helping others feel better in their everyday lives.
I want parents to feel the deep joy of these experiences, not just show a surface level smile.

If you’ve ever come home from a trip feeling more tired than when you left, you’re not alone.

What’s the hardest part of travel for you right now?

I didn’t realize how much travel was affecting my health, until my body forced me to pay attention.

Before I became a dietitian, I worked in restaurants and hotel sales.

Long days.
Weekends.
Travel.

And at one point, I developed chronic hives that wouldn’t go away.

I remember thinking, “I should be able to handle this.”

But the truth was, I didn’t have the tools to support myself.

No one was talking about:
🌿How to eat when your schedule is unpredictable
🌿How to manage stress while traveling
🌿How to take care of your body when slowing down isn’t an option

So I pushed through until my body wouldn't allow it anymore.

Now, years later, I see how common this still is, especially for professionals who travel for work or attend conferences.

What looks like an exciting opportunity on the outside often comes with stress, exhaustion,
and pressure to perform.

And here’s what I’ve come to realize:

If you’re feeling this way when you travel,
there’s a good chance your team, your colleagues, or your employees are too.

That’s why I do the work I do today.

Because wellness should be something that supports you, not something you have to figure out on your own or a destination you'll arrive at "once things calm down".

If you travel for work or attend events, what feels hardest for you?

Have you ever seen “Welcome Breakfast” or "Lunch Program" on an event agenda and immediately felt unsure about what that actually means for you?

For many women I work with, it’s not just about food.
It’s about how they’ll feel walking into that room.

Will there be something they can eat?
Will they feel comfortable eating in front of others?
Will the options support how they want to feel that day?

Because behind the scenes, many are managing:
• Food sensitivities or health conditions
• Medications that affect hunger
• A complicated relationship with food
• Or simply a desire to feel good and stay energized

I've been meeting with clients for over 16 years and I can tell you that without clear options and details, women are:
– Packing snacks in their bag just in case they can't eat what is being offered
– Skipping meals and hoping for the best because their gut can't tolerate what is being served
– Quietly stepping out to find something that works and missing an important speaker's content

And sometimes… they just “deal with it”
and don’t feel their best for the rest of the day or trip.

You’re not alone if you’ve felt this way.

While skipping meals or dealing with things aren't the wisest solutions, small steps like planning ahead, bringing what you need, and giving yourself permission to step away can help you stay grounded and supported.

And if you attend meetings often, consider sharing your needs or feedback with planners and leadership.

Those insights matter more than you think and they can help shape better experiences for everyone.

Because how you nourish yourself during the day impacts how you show up for everything else.🌿
