Not every injury shows itself clearly on day one—and that’s where experience matters.

This patient came in after an automobile accident with ongoing foot pain that was previously overlooked. A closer, more detailed evaluation revealed a 5th metatarsal fracture along with Painful Os Peroneum Syndrome (POPS)—a condition that can easily be missed but can significantly affect function and recovery if left untreated.

At RES Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, we don’t just read reports—we listen to the patient, correlate the story, and carefully review imaging to find what others may miss. That’s how proper diagnosis happens, and that’s how real recovery begins.

The good news—this patient is on the right path and expected to recover well.

If you’ve been in an automobile accident and something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts. Get evaluated by a team that takes the time to do it properly.

Call today to schedule your evaluation and take control of your recovery.

There’s something important patients don’t always realize…

An MRI report is helpful — but it’s not the whole story.

As a physician, I don’t just read the report. I sit with the patient, listen to their history, understand how the pain started, what makes it worse, and how it affects their life. Only then do I go back and look at the actual MRI images myself.

Why? Because even very good radiologists can miss something small — especially when it’s subtle.

And sometimes that “small” finding is exactly what’s causing big problems.

A tiny disc bulge in the wrong spot can press on a nerve and create significant pain, numbness, or weakness. If you only look at the report, it might sound “mild.” But if you match it with the patient’s symptoms and examine the images closely, it tells a very different story.

Medicine is not just about reading scans — it’s about putting the whole picture together.

That’s where experience, attention to detail, and actually listening to the patient makes all the difference.

That mid-back pain after a car accident is not “just soreness.” The thoracic spine absorbs a significant portion of impact, and injuries here are often overlooked — leading to chronic pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility if ignored.

At RES Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, we don’t brush it off. We identify the true source of pain and treat it directly with a comprehensive, results-driven approach designed to restore function and get you back to living your life.

If you’ve been in an accident and something doesn’t feel right — trust your instincts and get it checked properly.

Team RES in the trenches tonight—working ringside at an intense MMA event. Nothing like being right there where preparation meets reality. Controlled chaos, sharp focus, and real medicine when it counts.

Even better, sharing it with my son. Moments like this matter. He gets to see firsthand what discipline, responsibility, and composure look like under pressure. Proud of him being there and taking it all in.

Great fights. Great energy. Great experience.

Severe cervical muscle spasm following automobile trauma — this case tells the story clearly. Significant ligamentous injury at C2-C3 and C3-C4 with a decreased suboccipital angle, correlating directly with persistent and debilitating headaches.

What stands out — no major disc herniation. This is not a disc problem. This is instability, soft tissue injury, and post-traumatic dysfunction that too often gets overlooked.

This is exactly the type of patient who benefits from a targeted regenerative approach — restoring stability, improving function, and addressing the root cause rather than masking symptoms.

Wishing this patient strength and resilience through recovery. We will get you better.

X-ray doesn’t lie.

While performing a fluoroscopy-guided injection, Team RES picked up something unexpected — a clear hip fracture sitting right there in the lower left of the image. Incidental finding, but a critical one. This is exactly why precision imaging matters — you don’t just treat pain, you uncover the truth behind it.

Follow-up MRI is on deck to evaluate the full extent of hip pathology.

And here’s the part that says everything — the patient experienced significant pain relief immediately after the injection. That tells you loud and clear: the sacroiliac joint was a major pain generator. No guessing, just results.

This is what real medicine looks like — careful, precise, and effective.

Meet the Team at RES Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Did you know what RES stands for?
Rachel, Elizabeth, and Svetlana — the three women who inspire the heart of our mission.

Today we introduce the “E” of RES — Elizabeth.

Elizabeth is the pillar in the middle of the name, the binding force that reminds us every day why our work matters. She is not only part of our family — she is also a survivor.

Elizabeth was involved in a very serious automobile accident. It was a frightening time for our family, but by the grace of God she survived. She became a patient in our own clinic and experienced the same comprehensive care that we provide to every person who walks through our doors.

Through determination, rehabilitation, and the expertise of our team, Elizabeth fought her way back and has overcome most of her injuries. Her journey reminds us that recovery is possible when you have the right team behind you.

If you were hurt in a car accident, do not wait. Pain and injuries often worsen when ignored. Schedule a comprehensive examination with our experienced trauma rehabilitation team at RES.

And if you are nervous about seeing a doctor, our therapy dog Bailey is always ready to help make the visit easier.

Your recovery starts with one step.

Some days on the water don’t go as planned.

At RES Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, we specialize in comprehensive evaluation and treatment of automobile-related injuries. We don’t guess. We examine thoroughly, diagnose properly, and build a structured plan to get you back on your feet.

Don’t wait and hope it goes away.
