The time spent postpartum is a very sacred one, and a time that has been honored in different and supportive ways throughout many cultures. Our group works to infuse this wisdom into our fast paced western culture to help create a time of healing and deep connection with other mothers on the journey, held by caring and experienced facilitators.

Megan, one of our facilitators, is a mother to three, and has been working with postpartum women for over a decade. She is passionate about nurturing community and resourcing mothers and their families.

Meet Kristina Amiero Perez, a licensed massage therapist, yoga teacher, and Reiki master that specializes in prenatal and postnatal care. Originally from Tampa Florida where she practiced for over a decade, Kristina and her family relocated to Buffalo in 2024. Since the move she has begun nursing school at SUNY Niagara while continuing to find passion in her work with pregnant and postpartum women.

Every session with Kristina is intuitive and tailored to meet your specific needs in that moment. She blends therapeutic modalities like cupping, stretching, and deep tissue with relaxation and energy work to help you achieve your goals. Kristina will be available for massage at The Cary House on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

A proud mom of twins and happily married, Kristina and her family enjoy exploring local parks, markets, and other hidden gems. Your recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Our childbirth education series is built around the foundational importance of not only understanding what is happening during pregnancy and labor, it offers tangible, accessible tools and practices to apply during pregnancy as well as post partum to maximize the body’s innate abilities to birth and heal. We have two options; an extensive 8 week course (live and via zoom) as well as a bimonthly full day intensive.

Our next ONE DAY intensive course is this coming Sunday, March 8th. We cover the highlights of our full Childbirth Ed Series for those who are:

* having 2nd+ babies and don’t necessarily need or have the time to sit through our Full Series
* looking for the convenience of a condensed course
* your due date is sneaking up and you are looking for information quickly
* all of the above :)

Chinese Medicine for Daily Living

An introduction to the Meridians and the Five Elements to inspire ways to integrate these modalities into your routine, restoring balance to the body / mind / spirit. Rooted in the foundational principles of Chinese Medicine, this workshop explores how these time-honored concepts can be applied in daily life. Participants will gain knowledge of Chinese herbs, practice acupressure points, and enjoy a guided tea tasting featuring the herbs we work with in class.

The postpartum period or the fourth trimester is a time when a mother’s physical body and emotional state need care and attention just as much as during pregnancy…. if not more. Post partum is a tender time of transition, steep learning curves, shifts in dynamics all within a culture that offers little to no support. Our postpartum support group is a space of care and comfort, facilitated by amazing women who focus on the healing of the mother in community. Birth itself is considered to be the moment of greatest expansion of the vibrational field in all its planes (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual).

The Closing the Bones ceremony, traditionally performed during the postpartum period, honours this expansion and gently offers closure to the new mother as she returns to her own center and integrates her personal transformation to motherhood. This ceremony focuses on the physical, emotional, and spiritual closure of a mother’s body after childbirth- honoring the mother’s journey into motherhood while supporting her recovery.

This is one of many deeply connecting and nurturing experiences of pp group- offering a ceremonial sense of completion and a gentle transition into motherhood.

Our next session begins Tuesday 1/ 20 and runs through 3/ 24. Registration on website, two spots left 💫 this group makes a beautiful gift for any loved ones home with a new baby muddling their way through healing and the early months of mothering💫
