A stallion’s fertility is more than just a number. It’s a combination of reproductive function, physical health, stamina, and hormonal balance. During breeding season, stallions are under physical and physiological stress that can directly affect conception rates and overall performance.🐴

Key areas to support:
• S***m quality & motility – Fertility depends on healthy s***m. Supporting proper motility and morphology helps maximize conception success.
• Hormone balance – Testosterone and other reproductive hormones regulate libido, energy, and reproductive health. Imbalances can reduce sexual drive and reproductive performance.
• Energy, stamina & resilience – Daily breeding requires endurance. Fatigue, stress, or nutritional deficiencies can reduce performance.
• Overall health & circulation – Reproductive efficiency is linked to circulation, liver and kidney function, and overall metabolic balance.

A stallion in peak health performs better consistently. Supporting your stallion throughout the season, not just at the start, is critical. Consistent care helps maintain fertility, libido, and performance, giving you confidence in your breeding program.🙌🏼

Our Stallion Fertility is formulated to naturally support reproductive health, hormone balance, and s***m quality, helping your stallion maintain peak fertility and consistent performance all breeding season long.💚

The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland located in the neck, but don’t let its size fool you, it has a big impact on your horse’s overall health and performance.🐴

It produces hormones that regulate many critical body functions, including:
• Metabolism – how your horse converts food into energy
• Growth and development – especially important for young or growing horses
• Body temperature regulation – helping them stay comfortable in hot or cold conditions
• Hair coat and skin health – affecting shine, shedding, and coat density
• Muscle and joint function – keeping movement smooth and strong

When the thyroid isn’t functioning properly, it can lead to a wide range of issues. Common signs of thyroid imbalance may include:
• Unexplained weight gain or loss
• Low energy, fatigue, or lethargy
• Dull or patchy hair coat, abnormal shedding, or poor coat quality
• Changes in appetite or digestion
• Muscle weakness, stiffness, or decreased performance

Thyroid imbalances can sometimes be subtle, showing up as small changes over time. That’s why supporting the thyroid proactively is so important, it helps your horse maintain energy, vitality, and overall well-being. For horses who could use a little extra support, Thyroid Support, was formulated to help maintain healthy thyroid function and support metabolism naturally.🌿

Regular care for the thyroid can make a noticeable difference in how your horse feels and performs every day. A healthy thyroid is the foundation for a healthy, energetic, and happy horse.💚

Thyroid Support for Horses may help with thyroid problems. A properly functioning thyroid helps with breathing, weight, and muscle on the neck.

This one is definitely worth saving!🌟

Great information on EPM. Knowing the signs, triggers, and how to manage it is so important for horse health.💚

𝐄𝐏𝐌 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐞-𝐔𝐩𝐬 & 𝐍𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬

And for those who still think EPM only exists in the south, don’t be fooled. We see cases constantly, and consistently… Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Arizona, and everywhere inbetween. EPM doesn’t stop at state-lines, and neither do the rodents that often carry it. It’s everywhere.

EPM is a BIG one people often overlook.. and at first, owners often see it as a lameness (often in the hind end) but as you become more familiar with EPM or horses with a history of it, have you noticed your horse’s flair ups often correlate with weather change or times of stress?

Horses with a history of Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis (EPM) can experience flare-ups during times of stress.

And guess what counts as stress?
✔️ Weather swings
✔️ Travel
✔️ Competition
✔️ Illness or recovery periods

When the immune system is taxed, underlying neurologic issues can resurface.

Signs to watch for:
• Subtle incoordination
• Weakness behind
• Muscle asymmetry
• Behavior or performance changes

Tip: If you KNOW your horse has had EPM before, be proactive during stressful periods. Maintenance plans and early intervention matter!

Talk to Dr. Sharp about what EPM meds we like to reach for, The Good Pharma being one of our pharmacies of choice for them — because they have the BEST flavoring!

Vitamin E is also always great addition for EPM horses… both during treatment and after. Our choice is Emcelle, you can buy that through us if you’re a current client.

After the initial treatment, Silver Lining has a great parasite cleanse that is definitely one to check out 𝙀𝙋 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙨 as a daily additive to grain. Here’s a link to the website, and code SHARP will also always save you money. https://silverliningherbs.sjv.io/c/7091706/3245481/37749

Or wanting to establish care as a new client, give our team a call to help you get a protocol that works!

Mud season can be one of the toughest times of year on horses.🐴

Constant exposure to moisture, mud, and bacteria creates the perfect environment for skin and hoof issues to develop. When horses are standing in wet conditions for long periods of time, the skin softens and becomes more vulnerable to irritation and infection.

This can lead to:
• Pastern dermatitis also known as mud fever
• Cracked, irritated skin on the lower legs
• Increased bacterial and fungal growth
• Scabbing and sensitivity

Hooves are just as affected. Excess moisture weakens the hoof structure and can contribute to:
• Thrush
• Soft soles
• Increased sensitivity
• Changes in hoof quality over time

Mud season also brings constant temperature swings, from warm days to cold nights, which can add additional stress on the horse’s system and recovery. This is why consistency is key during this time of year. Regular grooming, allowing legs and hooves to dry when possible, and staying ahead of early signs of irritation can make a big difference and help prevent bigger problems down the road.

Mud season may be unavoidable but how we manage it can greatly impact our horses’ comfort and health.💚

Sarcoids and melanomas can be frustrating, confusing, and sometimes overwhelming to deal with. While they may look similar on the outside they are very different.

▪️Sarcoids are the most common skin tumor in horses. They are often linked to a virus and can show up as anything from small wart like spots to aggressive fleshy growths. They don’t typically spread internally, but they can grow, multiply, and come back if irritated.

▪️Melanomas are most commonly seen in gray horses and develop from pigment producing cells called melanocytes. They typically appear as firm black lumps under the skin, often under the tail, around the a**s, sheath, lips, or jawline. Many start as slow growing but over time some can enlarge, cluster, and in more advanced cases affect internal organs.

So why do they happen? There is rarely just one reason. It is usually a combination of genetics, immune imbalance, stress on the body, and overall system overload.

That is why our approach is different. We are not just focused on what you see on the outside. We focus on supporting the horse from within.

🩸Blood support helps the body move nutrients, clear waste, and support healthy tissue function.
🛡️Immune support helps the body recognize and respond to abnormal cell activity while maintaining balance.

When you give the body what it needs you are not just managing symptoms, you are supporting the entire system.🐴

Spring brings a lot of change for our horses.🌿

Fresh pasture begins to grow, feeding programs often shift, and horses start transitioning out of winter routines. While these seasonal changes are exciting, they can also place additional stress on the body’s natural detoxification systems. Two of the most important organs responsible for managing this process are the liver and the kidneys.

The liver acts as the body’s primary detoxification center, helping process toxins, medications, and metabolic byproducts while supporting digestion and nutrient metabolism. The kidneys work alongside the liver, filtering the blood and removing waste products through urine while helping regulate fluid and electrolyte balance.

During seasonal transitions like spring, these organs often work even harder as the body adapts to new forage, environmental changes, and shifts in metabolism. Supporting liver and kidney function during this time can help promote efficient detoxification, healthy metabolism, and overall balance throughout the body.💚

When these systems are functioning properly, your horse is better able to adapt to seasonal changes and maintain overall health and performance. Because a healthy detoxification system starts with supporting the organs doing the work every single day.🐴
