Hello Everyone,

Cornerstone Villa is currently seeking a few new Board Members to join our team.

As a stand-alone, non-profit facility, Cornerstone Villa is governed by a Board of Directors that helps guide the organization’s mission, strategic direction, and long-term success. The Board meets at minimum quarterly, with meetings occurring more frequently (up to monthly) as needed.

Meetings are typically held at the facility in the early afternoon (around 3:00 PM), though scheduling can be flexible based on board member availability and preferences.

This is a volunteer position and requires completion of a DHS Background Check.

We are especially interested in individuals with experience or backgrounds in:
- Long-term Care or Healthcare
- Non-profit Leadership or Governance
- Business Administration
- Accounting or Finance
- Marketing or Community Outreach

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting seniors and strengthening the future of our community-based organization.

Day 5: FIESTA FriYAY!! 🪅🎉 HOLA Señors and Señoritas! 👋🏼 We ended this crazy, busy week traveling to Mexico. 🇲🇽🪇 We made tacos 🌮, planted flower seeds in our pots we painted earlier this week 🪻🌻🌼🌷, and played BINGO! This week has been Muy Bien! 🤌🏼

Thank you to our INCREDIBLE Activity Department for putting on such a fun-filled week ❣️, thank you to our staff for participating and helping out each day 👏🏼, and thank you to our residents for all the smiles, laughs, and memories made! 🫶🏼 This truly is the best week of the year 🤗 Celebrating Long-Term Care Week! Until next year. 🥲😌

Day 4: The Greek Gods & Goddesses are here!! 🇬🇷 We visited the coliseums in Greece 🏛️ battled it out in the Olympic Games! 🏹🏅 and watched Mamma Mia! in the afternoon. 🌿⚜️

Day 3: Woodstock Wednesday. 🎶🎵 The hippies ☮️ and flower children 🌼🌸 have arrived!! ☀️ We had a GrOoOoOoVy afternoon grilling hotdogs 🌭 and burgers 🍔 for lunch, and listening to the incredibly talented Josh & Trapper! ✌🏼🎤🌈

Day 2: ALOHA! 👋🏼 On Tuesday WE WENT TO HAWAII!! 🌺🌴🌼 The sun was shining ☀️ waves were crashing 🌊 and the drinks were being drank 🍹. We enjoyed Fruit kabobs 🍡 made tiki men & woman 🎭 and tie dyed shirts!! ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💜🩷🤍 What an amazing day with friends & family. 🤗🥰

We kicked off Nursing Home Week by hopping on a plane and playing tourists for the day! ✈️ We packed our suitcases and spent the morning taking our passport photos so we would all be valid, and then painted flower pots so we can grow beautiful flowers later in the week. 🌸🪻🌺🌻

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible momma’s in our lives. 💐 Because of you all, we are able to come together, share laughs, love and reminisce. 🩷 Thank you to all the loved ones that joined us today for our Mother’s Day Tea and Boutique. 🫶🏼

We would like to give an extra big thank you to Salyna 'Larsen' Herberg for the INCREDIBLE cheesecake 🍰, Stacy Dobson for the sandwiches 🥪 , Cassidie Bonham for the meat, cheese & crackers 🧀 and the graduation punch 🧊. Thank you to Dr. Kapella for donating the beautiful flowers. 💐 Thank you to our Dietary Department for keeping the coffee flowing ☕️🫖, Nursing for making sure our residents were up and ready 👒 and to our Activity Department for the beautiful decor 💍 and excellent service 🙌🏼! Lastly, thank you to everyone who donated to our Boutique so our ladies were able to get a shopping experience of their own. 🥰 We are so grateful for everyone’s generosity. ❤️

Our hearts are heavy with the hearing of the passing of our beloved Chair Member Don. Don served on our Board for 10 years, and always graced us with his smile, quirky personality and his dad jokes. You will be missed Don! 🕊️

Family Council at Cornerstone Villa will meet Tuesday, January 13th @ 2:30 pm on the boardroom at Cornerstone. If you have a loved one living at Cornerstone Villa, you are welcome at the Family Council meetings, whether you are a relative, good friend , or loved one. Join us for information, support, upcoming events, and ideas all focused on improving the quality of life for the people we care about at Cornerstone. We hope to see you there.
