Today, first year Campbell PA students presented a $9,227 check to Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina—the result of months of planning and teamwork!

Funds were raised through the annual PA Golf Tournament, and every dollar goes toward making wishes come true for children with critical illnesses. We are so proud of this class for their commitment to serving others both in and out of the classroom. 💫

Big news for PAs in North Carolina!!
Our alumna, Dr. Beth Ehlers (’23 MPAP), was present at the historic signing of NC House Bill 67 alongside Governor Josh Stein and other leaders.
This legislation modernizes team-based PA care in NC and brings our state into the PA Licensure Compact.
We’re incredibly proud to see a CampbellPA alum at the forefront of advancing our profession.

House Bill 67 was signed into law by Governor Josh Stein this morning, July 1, 2025.

This bill modernizes team-based PA care in NC and allows NC into PA State Licensure Compact.

Thank you to our Senators, Representatives, NCAPA leaders, and Gov. Stein for helping this bill become law.

It's an exciting time to be a PA in NC!

Mass Casualty Simulation at Campbell PA 🚨
Over 100 students, faculty, and community partners came together today for our annual mock MCI training — a realistic, high-intensity scenario- this year, simulating a vehicle driving into a crowd. 🏥🚑

From field triage to critical care transport, students rotated through immersive stations with support from:
🔸 Joint Special Operations Medical Training Center
🔸 Cape Fear Valley LifeLink
🔸 Buies Creek Fire Dept
🔸 Harnett County Emergency Services

First-year PA student Elydia Stokes, who led this year’s event, called it a “full-circle moment” after volunteering years ago as a deciding factor in choosing Campbell PA. 🐪

We’re proud to train future providers who are confident, collaborative, and ready for anything.

Thank you for your leadership and service!

Thank you for your leadership and service!

We’re not sure we’ve ever had this many CPHS Alumni Board Presidents in one room — and in perfect order!
From left to right: past presidents Dr. Julia Niemi ('23 DHSc, '17 MPAP/MSPH), Andrew Currin ('17 MBA, '16MSPH, '14 BSCR), and Dr. Sarah Griffin ('17 PharmD); current president Dr. Eliana Wood ('15 PharmD/MSCR); and president-elect Treston Clark-LaRue ('21 MPAP/MSPH).
Grateful for the dedication and vision of those who have served — and excited for what’s ahead!

(Captured at our board meeting on Friday, May 9)

Congratulations Treston!

✨️Congratulations to Averi Sproles for earning the Excellence Award, Physician Assistant Student Ambassador of the Year! 🎉

🏅This award is given to ambassadors who go above and beyond their duties. They are often found at multiple events, always volunteering when needed, and eager to represent the university by frequently contacting potential students, continuing the mission of CPHS. 🩺✨️

🥼Averi’s dedication to mentoring undergraduate students at Campbell University, particularly those pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant, has been truly remarkable. Averi has experienced various healthcare professions and even considered applying to medical school, but ultimately decided on PA school. This diverse background equips Averi with the ability to give objective guidance to those who seek it. Her active involvement in the EmpowerU club demonstrates her eagerness to guide and support students in their journey toward professional school. Additionally, Averi played an instrumental part in the success of the annual PA winter gala, displaying her ability to connect with Campbell Alumni as well. Averi's passion for Campbell's College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is evident through her insightful advice on admissions and her genuine enthusiasm for empowering future healthcare leaders.
