Campbell University Public Health Providing students with a solid foundation in health care research and outcomes evaluation

Our students become public health leaders who work to transform the health of communities. With deep commitments to service learning and action research, the Campbell University Master of Science in Public Health program prepares students to be professionals in the field by engaging rural communities as valuable and accessible partners in achieving health equity. The focus of both the coursework and student/faculty research will include the elimination of local health care disparities and development of local community health intervention and educational programs. Therefore, the program will help promote health and prevent disease in the local community and beyond.

🌟 Recovering Hope Conference
Hosted by Campbell University’s Department of Public Health and Fayetteville State University, this impactful conference was funded by a Faith and Health Campus grant from Interfaith America and funding from Alliance Health. The conference brought together students, faith leaders, and community advocates to address opioid overdose and su***de prevention through the lens of life, hope, and resilience. Keynote speaker Dr. Monty Burks, Deputy Director of the Governor’s Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (GFBCI) for the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, delivered a powerful call to action, supported by a lineup of inspiring voices and meaningful conversations.
On we celebrate the impact of these students and professionals who work tirelessly to help others. 💚

Dr. Emily Bailey and second-year Public Health student Sarah Cruz recently gathered water samples in Southport to track antibiotic resistance in the environment. This work builds on research published last year by Cindy Fan (‘24 MSPH) and Dr. Bailey that compared rapid field tests to the Tricycle protocol.
