Campbell University Public Health Providing students with a solid foundation in health care research and outcomes evaluation

Our students become public health leaders who work to transform the health of communities. With deep commitments to service learning and action research, the Campbell University Master of Science in Public Health program prepares students to be professionals in the field by engaging rural communities as valuable and accessible partners in achieving health equity. The focus of both the coursework and student/faculty research will include the elimination of local health care disparities and development of local community health intervention and educational programs. Therefore, the program will help promote health and prevent disease in the local community and beyond.

Need to come to an agreement with a small group of people? Have assets to analyze? Dr. Tillman teaches our students to use this simple resource to bring consensus to a conversation. Think about each rock as a unit of value. The number of rocks a person assigns to a category demonstrates how important that is to the conversation. Once the group stops moving rocks around to add and take away from each set category, there’s a consensus! Using this tangible tool in a discussion adds a dimension to the conversation, helping decisions become visual. Try it out!
