“This feels kind of hard.”
If your child has ever said this during speech therapy — or while practicing at home — you’re not alone. 💜
Speech therapy is hard.
It asks kids to be brave.
To try new things.
To get corrected (a lot).
To keep going, even when it’s frustrating.
When your child says something feels hard, they’re not just being dramatic — they’re being vulnerable. 💬
And how we respond in that moment matters so much.
Here are a few things you can say:
✨ “I hear you — and I’m proud of you for trying.”
✨ “It’s okay that it’s hard. You’re not alone.”
✨ “You’re doing something important — and I’m right here with you.”
Every time we meet their hard moments with empathy, we’re helping them build confidence, trust, and resilience.
Struggle doesn’t mean failure — it means growth. 🌱
You’ve got this. And so do they. 💪💕
