Second: My schedule is getting ridiculous - in a good way for me, in a not-so-good way for all of you. I am fully booked through August and almost booked through mid-September. This weekend: Lomi Lomi (traditional Hawaiian massage). Some of y’all will see this included in your massages this coming week (as much as I can remember, anyway).

But let me tell you what’s different: it’s a whole lotta oil and not very much on the drape. In fact, get ready for a loin cloth and enough oil to fry fish (to be clear, we will NOT be frying fish, much to my disappointment).

This baby drape (not pictured here) allows me to traverse THE ENTIRE BODY. It’s pretty magical.

Let’s get into it: when I, as your massage therapist, say, “Undress to your level of comfort”, before your traditional massage, what I really mean is, “Take off everything including your jewelry”.

No, removing all of your clothing is not weird. No, it does not embarrass me. Yes, you will be appropriately draped at all times.

It makes my job sooooooo much easier. It makes your massage better. It helps me to concentrate on you instead of moving clothing around.

Yesterday was my students’ last day of internship. They brought me this gift. Now before any of you go wild with speculation, this is a cervical neck stretcher/mild decompressor. One of their husbands made it on his 3D printer.

Y’all. Let me pause right here to describe the majesty of this device. It feels sooooooo good when you gracefully (or not so gracefully) lay your neck over the top of it. Stretches you right out.

For those of you who are mentally ready (PS I do not fall into this category….my brain simply cannot comprehend what’s going on), a PRELIMINARY AUGUST SCHEDULE has been posted and pinned. There will likely be a few more openings after I figure out my school schedule!

But, if you are after Fridays or evenings, I’d recommend taking what’s available now! Per usual, Saturdays will only be available for current clients.
