Today’s success: I have a client who has been struggling with excessive fluid in her ears for almost a year. It was causing extreme dizziness. Enough that she was missing work, missing family functions, unable to get out of bed. She’d been to doctor after doctor with no resolution.

After two months of lymphatic drainage treatments, the dizziness is completely gone and she is back to all of her favorite activities (work isn’t her favorite, but she’s back to that anyway!)

Just something extra for all my special clients who are always freezing to death. This is a clothes warmer. You put your little clothes in a little bag and put them in this little thing that looks like a garbage can. And then I turn it on and set the heat to high. And then when you get off the table, you have toasty warm clothes to wear.

Ready for my soap box?

Good.

The Texas state board that licenses massage therapists has done away with the Texas State massage exam in Chinese (I’m against the Texas State test no matter what - it’s a joke). Because they are saying it’s contributing to s*x trafficking.

62.1% of those who have taken the exam over the last year have taken it in Chinese. For those who have moved into Texas from another state, 98% of the exams have been given in Chinese.

The national exam (which, in my opinion, is the true exam) is offered only in English and Spanish. People are literally moving into Texas to take the easier exam (which licenses them only in the state of Texas) in Chinese.

While we still have a long way to go in tne state of Texas, this is a step in the right direction to help legitimize the massage industry.
