Arthroscopy is a surgical procedure that allows doctors to diagnose and treat certain conditions in the knee and shoulder with tiny incisions. During a knee or shoulder arthroscopy, the surgeon inserts a small camera into the knee or shoulder joint and can see inside of the joint through a video monitor. They then take out damaged, diseased bone and cartilage, leaving only healthy bone intact. We will implant the prosthetic socket into your pelvic bone to displace the damaged sockets. Our reverse total shoulder replacement requires that both the socket and ball are replaced, but the implants are undone. The ball is connected to the shoulder blade and the socket is connected to the upper arm bone. This option usually is chosen if the rotator cuff is seriously damaged.

Dr. Ahdoot received his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of California, San Diego. He continued to further his education by obtaining his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. During those years, he became increasingly involved in various musculoskeletal research opportunities, philanthropy and community service. Of note, he helped create a non-for-profit organization that held events to help raise awareness and funds for various medical and genetic conditions internationally.
