Sometimes figuring out what to do with left overs can make me crazy 🤪 Or it will get my creative juices flowing to put together something unique and fun, like this one! 🙌🏻 I threw in a bowl- spinach, left over cabbage salad, then I added sliced left over chicken breast, sesame dressing with sesame seeds and peanuts (for the healthy fats and a crunch) 😋 Sometimes I amaze myself! 🤭💃 🙌🏻😉

With record heat everywhere, it’s important to stay hydrated👍🏻 Did you know that watermelons are packed with water and nutrients, contains very few calories and is exceptionally refreshing and juicy? It is 91% water 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️ AND eating watermelon or drinking watermelon juice had several health benefits, including lowering blood pressure, improving insulin sensitivity and reducing muscle soreness. 🙌🏻

What do you do with bananas that are at this point 🤷🏼‍♀️...make really delicious banana bread 😋 ooor....unwrap, put them in a baggy and freeze them 🙌🏻 Then you’ll have frozen bananas to make a yummy banana/chocolate/peanut butter protein shake after a workout (or whatever kind of banana shake you like) ♥️😎

Happy Monday!! Quick tip this morning 🧐 Add your protein powder to your morning cup of joe ☕️ 🙌🏻 It’s an easy way to up your protein in the morning ☀️ I like to mix a scoop of collagen peptide protein powder from into my black coffee, but any type of protein with work, and if it’s flavored then it’s a bonus 🌟 because then you have flavored coffee and didn’t have to use creamers that contain high amounts of sugar 😆

Today we had an awesome Health Seminar 🙌🏻 It was about the importance of nutrition, exercise and wellness. All very important topics to staving off chronic disease and living a healthy, happy long life. Each one relates to the other. Good nutrition, will help you sleep better, and give you energy as well as help recover from the exercise. As Coach Marcel said, we only have 1 vehicle (our body) and it needs
Fuel-food
Oil-mobility and soft tissue work
Cool down-sleep
No one can run in the red zone all the time ❌
Coach Jesi helped define wellness for us. Wellness is the state of good health...it’s important to not only sleep, but to disconnect 📱 to connect and surround yourself with the peeps that support, are positive and are examples of what you believe.

CrossFit stimulus-which is constantly varied, high-intensity functional movement coupled with meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar-can give you a pass on chronic disease. -Greg Glassman

I don’t know why, but I’ve been on this cauliflower popcorn kick all week..it’s so super easy to make, and I’ve made it different every time! 🤗 🍿I have made spicy cauliflower, salt and pepper, Parmesan cheese and herbs...😋 Mix a little olive oil and what ever spices you would like for the popcorn flavor in a bowl. Cut up or pull apart the cauliflower into bite save pieces and mix it in with the spices. Spread it out on a baking sheet, put in the oven at 425 degrees for 10-15 min...watch carefully so they don’t burn 😆
