Our residents had a wonderful time crafting with dried flowers! We used mod podge to carefully preserve these blooms on acrylic bookmarks, turning each piece into a unique and beautiful keepsake. Their creativity shines through in every design, making each bookmark a special memento full of charm and care. It’s amazing to see how these little projects bring joy, connection, and a sense of accomplishment every day!

What a perfect day for a picnic! Our recent outing to Gene Coulon Park in Renton was filled with sunshine, laughter, and great company. The sun sparkled on the water, and a refreshing breeze off Lake Washington kept us cool as we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. A special treat? We even caught a glimpse of the Blue Angels flying overhead as they arrived in Seattle for Seafair! It was a joy connecting with residents from other Merrill Gardens communities—sharing stories, enjoying lunch, and soaking up the summer vibes together.

Bright colors, bold designs, and amazing imagination turned ordinary bottles into works of art. It was more than just painting—it was a joyful time to relax, laugh, and hang out together. Our Carnival for a Cure was a tremendous success! Together, we raised an incredible $1,500 for the Alzheimer’s Association, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the support and spirit our community showed throughout the event. 💜 The energy was high from start to finish, with so many fun moments to remember. The Human Slot Machine was a crowd favorite—lively, hilarious, and full of surprises! The classic Cake Walk kept everyone on their toes, and the Great Cheese Toss brought out big laughs and competitive flair. We were honored to welcome Victor Guzman, Seattle’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s Coordinator, who joined us and shared a few inspiring words. His presence made the day even more special. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, played games, donated, or cheered others on. It was so fun seeing everyone walking around with prizes and big smiles!
