Our residents had so much fun creating sea glass art shadow boxes! 🐦✨ Using paint, sea glass, corks, and sharpies, residents crafted adorable little birds that seem to overlook the sea. It was a fun, creative way to bring a touch of the ocean indoors. 🌊

Sometimes unexpected adventures lead to the best memories! 🚗✨ Our visit to the LeMay Collection Museum in Parkland turned out to be a hidden gem, filled with unique collections from Harold and Nancy Lemay—cars, toys, neon signs, gas pumps, bicycles, and more. Located on a historic 90-acre former military academy, the museum offers fascinating stories alongside its exhibits.

Thanks to everyone who joined our Bunco for Beginners event! 😊 It was wonderful to welcome new players, share lots of laughs, and enjoy some friendly competition. We’re excited to keep the fun rolling, introduce more residents to Bunco, and collaborate with our Merrill Gardens communities for future tournaments.🎲

We had a wonderful day exploring Bremerton with a visit to the Puget Sound Naval Museum, and it did not disappoint! ⚓️ The exhibits were fascinating, with many residents especially enjoying the history of Navy uniforms—seeing how styles, materials, and traditions evolved over the years sparked great conversations and memories. After soaking up all that history, we headed to Anthony’s on Sinclair Inlet for a delicious lunch. With beautiful waterfront views and fresh Northwest favorites on the menu, it was the perfect way to relax and enjoy time together. Great company, great food, lots of laughter and a great day all around—we’re already looking forward to our next adventure!

Happy New Year from Merrill Gardens at Burien! We kicked off 2026 with a lively New Years Eve celebration at noon, it was a major hit among our residents. We had fun games, homemade party hats, a toast, photobooth, and piano music to pull together our celebration. Wishing everyone a happy new year and wonderful 2026!
