Today marks 33 years (yes, really!) that Kiyomi Tamura has worked with us! Kiyomi is truly amazing, and we often refer to her work as the “gold standard.” She has given every ounce of love, dedication, devotion (you name it, it applies!) to DAHLIA and our residents.

Congratulations, and THANK YOU, Kiyomi!! ❤️❤️

🏕️ The 2025 Camp DAHLIA is well underway! Fun activities all week long! We kicked off with our annual picnic - our residents dancing and mingling with family, guardians, board members, staff and community supporters! Yesterday, they were in a "Sea of Smiles," enjoying ocean-themed activities. In its 5 year, Camp DAHLIA has become a anticipated event that was the brainchild, and now legacy, of our beloved former Nursing Director Anne Royal. We miss her terribly, but know our angel is up there smiling with us!

This week, in addition to our 50th anniversary, DAHLIA is also celebrating Nurses Week! We are especially proud to honor our extraordinary nurses who care for our residents with compassion, dedication, and love.
To our nurses (Carisa, Getachew, Leslie, Levi, Lynda, Mercy, Nebiyou, Rachelle, Senay, Shannon, and Valentina): Thank you. Thank you for your compassion, your strength, your professionalism, and the heart you bring to everything you do. Your work saves lives, brings comfort, and makes a difference every single day. Your tireless efforts do not go unnoticed.
Please take a moment to thank a nurse, share a kind word, or simply show appreciation for the essential role they play in our world!

Today is GiveBIG! A day where nonprofits come together across Washington to invest in our communities 🫶🏼

DAHLIA Living is proud to serve 4 homes housing 22 adults with disabilities. Can you believe we’ve been doing this for 50 years?!

At the center of a home is the kitchen. Feeding and gathering is core part of connection. Every dollar donated to GiveBIG this year will go towards remodeling Vision’s kitchen.

Our goal is to give Visions a safe, functional, and accessible space where residents can comfortably enjoy meals and build skills to boost their overall well being.
