Unofficially calling this the modified pigeon pose. A great stretch for quads/hip flexors in the standing leg and glutes in the bent leg.

A couple weeks ago I had my yearly wellness check-up. We started talking about some noticeable changes in my life and it turns out I have some anxious tendencies. 🙃 Now I know what you’re thinking, because I too thought the same thing, "A massage therapist whose job is to relax people has anxiety?!" Well, I have come to accept that I am human too and us humans are far from perfect.
So to combat some of these feelings, I have been using the Calm app. One of the 5-minute meditations, “Friend On The Inside” used the idea to repeat a supportive or caring phrase to yourself.
My mantra is “It’s okay.”
It’s okay that you didn’t workout for the full amount of the video, you shut it off and went on a walk with your kids.
It’s okay that the house is 'messy', you have a busy schedule at work and at home.
It’s okay to take time for yourself or for your family, they don’t care how much $$ you make just that you are there with them.
It’s okay….
I still strive to do what I can, and don’t use this mantra as an excuse to be lazy, but I am learning to be okay with imperfection.
I’m (learning to be) okay with the outcome of each day. If you are struggling, I hope you know that IT WILL BE OKAY. 💙

A HUGE HEART FELT THANK YOU to my clients who understand that life happens.

912 Main is my place of work, not where I live, although some weeks it feels that way.

I have 100 clients that I see on a regular basis and @ least 12 on the waitlist.
I work Monday thru Friday 9 - 5 (often not getting home until 6 or 7) and love ❤️❤️being there for my clients. When life happens and an unexpected event leads to being closed for a day, I try my hardest to reschedule clients by extending my hours into the evenings and weekends.

None of this is to complain, but to state the facts of being a self employed massage therapist and to say thank you to my loyal, patient, and caring clients ❤️

Sunday 7th inning stretch! This one is for those of you with that gnarly pain in the middle of the back (the bra line). It also helps the triceps and lower back.

If you are familiar with child's pose and can make it to the floor without pain, hit child's pose and then flex your arms behind your head (I call it 🦈 ) If you'd rather use the wall to do the stretch, again, stretch your arms above your head, step back a couple steps and lean forward into the wall & strike the shark pose! Serious question-- Do you consider Sunday the 1st day of the week or 7th? I know the calendar says it's the 1st, but it has always felt like the 7th to me.
