Our nurses will not tell you how hard it is. That is not who they are. They will not tell you about the shift that broke their heart a little or the resident they still think about or the moment they had to hold it together for a family that was falling apart. They will just come back tomorrow and do it again because that is the kind of people they are. So we are saying it for them.
This job is hard in ways that a pizza party cannot touch. It asks for emotional depth and physical endurance and a kind of compassion that does not clock out. And our team brings all of it every single day to people who need it most.
This week we are not just celebrating them. We are seeing them. Really seeing them. They are The Power Behind It All. And they deserve so much more than a week.
