🌧️❄️ Bad Weather Ahead!Rain Now, Ice/Snow This Weekend—When to Stay Home vs. Urgent Care vs. ER ❄️🌧️
Stay home & watch:
• Mild cold/flu, low fever, cough/sore throat if acting normal
• Minor bumps/scrapes/rashes
Pediatric Urgent Care:
• Fever + flu symptoms (only it child over 2 months-if not, go to ER)
• Coughing, pink eye, sore throat, minor cuts, sprains, ear pain
ER or 911:
• Breathing trouble, wheezing, blue lips
• Fever ≥100.4°F (if child is younger than 2 months old), fever for more than 5 days, fever of 104F or more, or fever that will not reduce
• Severe dehydration (no tears, dry mouth, no diapers 6+hrs, lethargic)
• Vomiting/diarrhea causing dehydration
• Head injury w/ vomiting/confusion/drowsiness
• Suspected break, seizure, severe allergy, poisoning
• Extreme lethargy/unresponsiveness/severe pain—or gut feeling something is seriously wrong—trust it!
