Thinking about birth control? There are many options, and the best one depends on your needs and lifestyle!
• Long-acting methods like IUDs and implants are over 99% effective and low-maintenance—they last for years but can be removed anytime if you want to get pregnant later.
• Pills, patches, and rings require regular use—great if you like routines, but less effective if you sometimes forget.
• Condoms protect against both pregnancy and STIs, but must be used correctly every time.

Hold onto your hats, folks—Dr. Chellappan is officially out of the office! While she’s off recharging her superpowers (or maybe just enjoying a well-deserved break), the rest of our team is working hard to keep the ship afloat. 🏊‍♂️
We’re doing our best to answer your questions and keep things running smoothly, but response times might be a little slower than usual. Think of it as giving us a chance to practice our “patience” skills—pun intended!

Thank you for your understanding and good humor. We promise to keep the coffee flowing and the portal messages coming. Dr. Chellappan will be back soon, and we’ll all breathe a collective sigh of relief (and maybe take a nap).

The world of supplements can be overwhelming, but here are a few that we recommend:

In pregnancy it is important to ensure your vitamins have the recommended components including:
- Choline 250mg
- DHA 300-450 mg
- calcium
- Vitamin D
- Folic Acid 800mcg or Folate 600mcg

Magnesium Glycinate 250mg in pregnancy can also help aid in muscle relaxation and improve bowel function

Cervical Health supplements are beneficial to help clear HPV and prevent further cell changes.
- AHCC 1500mg/day
- Zinc 50mg/day

Supplements can also help to improve egg quality! This is something that is beneficial for women over the age of 35 trying to conceive.

Beat the heat and stay sun-smart this season!
✔️ Stay Hydrated – Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
✔️ Seek Shade – Take breaks from direct sunlight, especially between 10am–4pm.
✔️ Slip, Slop, Slap – Slip on protective clothing, slop on sunscreen (SPF 30+), and slap on a wide-brimmed hat!
✔️ Watch for Heat Illness – Know the signs: dizziness, headache, nausea, or excessive sweating.
