This is a day that is deeply personal to all of our staff. October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month–a time for us to recognize the thousands of families who experience perinatal loss every year, and a time to remember the babies who are no longer here with us.

Perinatal loss is unfortunately far too common an event, and one that is often heart breaking, devastating, and life-altering.

For those of you who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy or infant, we are thinking of you, your family and your precious babies this month. We want you to know that their lives were important and meaningful, and that they will never be forgotten.

“We remember the babies born sleeping; those we carried but never held; those we held but could not take home; those who came home but could not stay.”

Cold and flu season is upon us and we want to take a moment to remind you of the incredible power you have to help protect your newborn.

Pregnant people and newborns are at greater risk of developing serious flu complications. Getting a flu vaccine is a safe and simple step to help protect your health and your baby’s health after birth. Talk with your health care professional or visit a local pharmacy today.

RSV is the leading cause of infant hospitalization in the United States. Given during pregnancy, the maternal RSV vaccine provides protection for your baby from birth through their first six months of life.

The Tdap vaccine is safe for you and your baby. Protect your infant from whooping cough by getting the Tdap vaccine during pregnancy and having anyone in close contact with your baby receive the vaccine.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the most powerful step you can take for your health is keeping up with your screenings. Breast cancer is most treatable when caught early, and routine mammograms can detect changes long before symptoms appear.

Keeping your appointments, knowing your family history, and talking with your provider about the right time to start mammograms are all ways to stay proactive. If you notice any changes—like a lump, skin dimpling, ni**le changes, or swelling—don’t wait, schedule a check-in.

Let this month be your reminder: early detection saves lives. Protect yourself, encourage the women you love, and make that appointment today.

September is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month, and it’s a reminder that knowledge is power when it comes to protecting your health. Gynecologic cancers include cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, and vulvar cancers—affecting thousands of women each year.

Regular screenings, knowing your family history, and speaking up about symptoms like unusual bleeding, pain, or bloating can make a big difference.

At Miracle OB/Gyn we’re here to support women at every stage of their care—from prevention to early detection to treatment. Let’s break the silence, spread awareness, and put women’s health first. 💜🎗️

Thinking about birth control? There are many options, and the best one depends on your needs and lifestyle!
• Long-acting methods like IUDs and implants are over 99% effective and low-maintenance—they last for years but can be removed anytime if you want to get pregnant later.
• Pills, patches, and rings require regular use—great if you like routines, but less effective if you sometimes forget.
• Condoms protect against both pregnancy and STIs, but must be used correctly every time.
• Consider your health, how easy a method is to use, and whether you want hormone-free options or added STI protection.
Talk to your healthcare provider to find what fits your body and your life. Your choice, your control!
