In feeding therapy, we:�👃 Explore food with all 5 senses (look, touch, smell, taste, and even listen!)�🎨 Turn mealtime into playtime — think painting with yogurt or stacking crackers�💪 Build oral motor skills that make chewing and swallowing easier�😋 Encourage positive experiences to reduce mealtime stress for kids and parents

Hello everyone, we hope you’re having a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY! It’s time to introduce you to one of the newest additions to the CTS Team. Please join us in giving a BIG CTS WELCOME to our newest SLP, MS. TRISHA!

Ms. Trisha received both her undergraduate and her graduate’s degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She is most looking forward to growing her knowledge here at CTS and getting to know all of her coworkers and families she will work with! Ms. Trisha loves to bake, go to the gym, read, binge TV shows, and spend time with her family.

It can be so easy to slip into a day or evening full of screens, especially when the weather is not cooperating (rainy, too hot to go outside etc). But we are here to help give quick and easy activities that will boost your children’s skills and fun while reducing screen time throughout the day! 💜

Using a book from home (or library), spend time reading the book out loud (or have your child practice reading to you). Once you’ve finished the book, have your children predict what the next book in the series will look like. If your child is older, have them draw their own villain and title their story. You could even expand the activity into writing their own book!💙
