Valentine’s Day is not overrated. It’s revealing.
Look past the flowers, the dinner reservations, the expensive cards. Beneath the commercial noise is something much deeper: our longing to feel loved.
Before you celebrate a partner, friends, or anyone else, pause and ask yourself one question. Do I love myself?
Self-care is one thing. Self-love is something else entirely. It is believing you are worthy of care, kindness, and respect without earning it first.
This Valentine’s Day, try turning the focus inward. Buy yourself flowers. Light a candle. Sit quietly with a book. Speak words of affirmation over your own life. Let the day begin with you.
Healthy love starts from within. When you learn to love yourself, every other relationship becomes more honest and sustainable.
If that feels difficult, you are not alone. Sometimes learning to love yourself is work best done with support.
Wishing you a Valentine’s Day rooted in self-respect, compassion, and care.
