WHO did not respond to GMA to support their argument. GMA could only obtain an interview from a dental hygienist to support dental checkups should be delayed. We need to base our decisions on scientific evidence and not on personal opinions. The science so far shows that dental offices have been doing a good job at protecting their staff and patients against Covid-19. I have not found a case documented in the United States where a dentist or his staff has gotten Covid-19 from treating a patient. A very good statistic since most other first responders dealing Covid -19 has not been so fortunate.

The World Health Organization recommends people put off "routine" check-ups until more is known about coronavirus, but dentists say they're equipped for disease control.
