Memorial Day Workout: The Murph.

1 mile run
100 Pull Ups
200 Push Ups
300 Air Squats
1 mile run

Clocked out at 47:51 minutes.

(The “Murph” is a workout named after Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy who was killed in Afghanistan in 2005. According to the post on the Crossfit website, this was one of Michaels favorite workouts.)

Getting tired of your usual abdominal workout? Try this. The Weighted (DB) Hanging Knee Raises. It will activate different muscle groups (literally) from your fingers to your toes, while strengthening your shoulders, back, and core. Perfect way to start the day!

On cardio/conditioning days; it’s nice to warm up with moderate upper body and core exercises. Try this, 5x10 DB Pushup Core Rows. It will remond you to tighten your core, straighten you back and keep an upright position on your run.

Holiday Season is Eating Season. Amidst the eating and drinking during parties; try to get a little quick workout every now and then. It makes you (at least) aware of staying healthy and in shape and conscious of what you eat and drink at gatherings. WOD: 10 Sumo Deadlift High Pulls ( #65), 10 Box Jumps(24”), 45s Weighted Plank, 12 Alternating DB Snatches. 21 minutes AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible).

Gasping For Air: That’s how today’s workout left me. 4 Snatches, 8 Burpee Pull Ups, 12 Box Jump Overs. 20 Mins AMRAP (As Many Rounds/Reps as Possible). Confuse your heart rate.
