Today’s Nexus iOS case comes from Dr. Bright Chang () @ Prosthodontics Associates. P.A.

This case saw a complete restoration of the upper arch from the Immediate provisional through to the production of the final Nexus Hybrid.

After the Immediate provisional insert, the patient suffered implant loss, an overdenture was produced by a local lab as an interim solution, while the new implants integrated. After stability was assessed, new scans were taken to ensure the precise implant data was captured before the final Nexus was installed.

Today's case is an upper Nexus Removable from The Royal Melbourne Hospital's Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department in Australia. In this instance, 3 implants were available and the retaining bar had to be shortened to accommodate the patient's existing dentition post-surgery. Therefore, careful consideration was taken in the locator-attachment placement to achieve the strongest connection across the arch and to comfortably secure the patient's Nexus Removable in place.

Nexus iOS has been used to restore many trauma cases digitally, with the Osteon Medical team experienced in designing simple removables like this one, as well as full-obturator cases that require a combination of implant types and complex frameworks
