What an incredible season. Over 100 members. Often 50+ women riding on Tuesday nights. Our own Sarah L is a co-organizer of the ride and Britt and Sarah P have been joining in on the action, too.

Stepped out of the office this afternoon and into the sunshine 🌞

Can’t be all work and no play!

And, in true VT fashion the wind picked up just in time for us to spin around and have a wicked headwind the whole paddle back 😅🫠

“Taking off my shoes injured my back.”

We hear it all the time—someone bends over, twists, or rolls out of bed and BAM 💥 … back is injured.

But that moment WASN’T the cause—it was the tipping point.

Injury is often the result of a pattern we see over and over:

Incomplete mechanics → Incidences → Injury

Meet Joe: an active dad and snowboarder who kept getting sidelined by back pain.

The issue? Not a “bad back,” but stiff hips, weak glutes, and avoided resistance training.

Once he committed to building strength and staying consistent, flare-ups became fewer and less intense—and he just finished his biggest snowboard season ever.

Hey 🏔️ lovers…

SIX in-person winter prep class series is approaching quickly!! Join us for SNOWFIT!

The first class is Oct 15 and runs thru Nov 19 from 6:30-7:30pm at HWPO HQ.

All participants will also receive an at-home workout to complete each week.

The goals of this series is to build strength and performance for mountain activities while reducing injury risk in the process.

A few weeks ago we received a text from Steve that said, “Congrats on the nomination! See you at the party!”

This was a humble shock and now Steve is dead to us until that party.

Exciting things happening for the Hopper household!

I mean…we’re pretty biased in this office, especially , buuuut we’re super pumped to see heading back to the CrossFit Games!

What an effort Mr. Hopper!! 😤

PS- If we are a little delayed in getting back to you it’s because Grace Anne has been out of the office to be the glue for this big guy during the last weekend of the CF Semifinals. And since Grace Anne is also the glue at BPT we are doing our best to get caught up! 🙃

 The WDR’s mission is to bring a group of women together who like to turn pedals, push boundaries, and find their thresholds beside other like-minded individuals.  We want to get women on bikes who like to push the pace, aren’t afraid to get dropped, aren’t afraid to drop others, want to learn how to grab tires, pull, and draft.
