Emergency Food Assistance in Alamance.
Community helping Community! 🫶
SAFE is here for our community, especially during times like this. With many local food pantries closed this week due to the ice, and more severe weather expected this weekend, we know that many families haven’t been able to access the food assistance they need.
In response, SAFE is stepping up and adjusting our services to better support our neighbors. Our incredible volunteers are pouring their time and care into packing emergency food boxes designed to help families get through the storm. Each box includes shelf-stable canned foods and essential items that can be used even if power is lost.
We will be distributing these boxes at five “pop-up, drive-through” pantry locations across Alamance County on Friday Jan. 30, ahead of the snow.
If you need of emergency food, simply drive up to the location closest to you, follow the signs, and pull up to our truck. Our team will load your food for you with care and kindness. Anyone in need of food is welcome, but if you are a SAFE client, please bring your SAFE card with you.
Food will be available at all locations while supplies last.
Pop up times and locations:
• 9 to 10 a.m. in the municipal parking lot behind the United Way in downtown Burlington (220 E. Front St., Burlington)
• 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at SAFE’s Snow Camp pantry (8416 Snow Camp Road, Snow Camp)
• 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at SAFE’s Hwy 87 location (5950 Hwy 87 S., Graham)
• 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the front parking lot at SAFE at The Bridge (615 W. Harden St., Graham)
• 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Gibsonville United Methodist Church (501 Church St.)
We’re honored to walk alongside our community and make sure no one goes without during this time.
