It was an honor to speak at the Psi Chi Honors Ceremony at my alma mater, Eastern Connecticut State University — invited by my undergrad mentor, Dr. Alita Cousins.

Returning to the campus where I first sprouted as a therapist was powerful. I shared some words with the next generation of psych geeks about following your sparks, combining your intuition and science, and staying rooted in truth, ethics, and human connection.

In this clip, Im sharing my first moments when I realized I had a thing for psychology. It was a fun story to share.

It’s a beautiful thing to watch new minds in psychology come to life.
