How do your values show up in your wedding? When planning your wedding with all the details- remember what really matters. People may not remember the embellishments, but they will remember the feeling of the experience.
This wedding is a beautiful example of values shining through; the couple showcased their devotion to family, inclusion, resilience & gratitude. Guests could FEEL the importance of these values during the celebration.
Itâs obvious how much the Bride & Groom prioritize their children by the loving care, spoken words, & interactions that demonstrate commitment to giving them a nurturing support. They incorporated special messages during the ceremony to honor their children while body language demonstrated their strong connections.
The wedding setup included indoor + outdoor spaces for play, with games like giant Jenga. They encouraged play, rather than stifling youthful energy.
Their love was palpable, not just romantic love of each other, but love for family, friends, & everyone in attendance. The Bride took time (despite a demanding day!), to engage in hospitality personally reminding guests to enjoy treats, be comfortable, & have fun in the photo booth.
Both the Bride & Groom took time during the ceremony to individually recognize the supportive team of vendors, expressing appreciation during their celebration.
The way they shared the spotlight reflects the way they uplift others.
Shannon & Aaronâs wedding showed more than the loving joy of their relationship, it highlighted their shared values in action. The intentionality in the event from venue to setup to activities to interactions extended an invitation for all guests to be present & feel connected.
Months later, I still reminisce about how good this wedding made me feel as a guest with a glimpse into this sweet coupleâs values in action!
You can instill your values into the eventâs atmosphere by how you show up & connect. In the wedding planning process, you can navigate the preparation with loving kindness, grace, collaboration - or whatever elements resonate most for you by leading with your strengths & values.
