🌟 What is Orofacial Myology?

Orofacial myology is all about how the muscles of the jaw, tongue, and lips work together. These muscles help kids (and adults!) with important everyday skills like:
🌬️ Breathing
😴 Sleeping
🍎 Eating

When the muscles don’t work the right way—like a tongue that pushes forward when swallowing, or mouth breathing instead of nose breathing—it can affect speech, teeth, and even sleep.

Orofacial myology therapy helps retrain these muscles so they can do their jobs the healthy way. Think of it as “physical therapy for the mouth and jaw.” 💪

✨ At Expressions., we help children (ages 5+) and adults improve their muscle habits for better speech, feeding, and overall health.
