Sing Along and Play Along

This Sunday, December 15th

From 12:30 (immediately after Tea and Cookies) to 2:00 ish

This may be the last one unless we get more interest. If you’ve been thinking about coming, please do!

All are welcome to bring acoustic instruments to play (no drums due to neighbors’ concerns) and to sing along to classic songs from many eras. Many of these songs you will probably know, and requests are welcome. We use the Rise up Singing Book, along with other materials. If you have a copy of the Rise Up Singing book, please bring it, but we’ll have some available, too. Hope to see you there!

Burlington Shambhala Center time to connect off the cushion

Saturday, November 16th at 6:30 to 8

Game night at the center

Let's play some fun, social games as the weather gets colder. Some options are team games such as Charades and Pictionary, card games or other tabletop games like Scrabble, Rummicub, Quirkle or Yatzhee. Please bring your favorite game to share, too!! Bring a friend! If there is enough interest, I'd be glad to offer this monthly through the winter months.

Are you interested in exploring breathing techniques such as diaphragmatic breathing, alternate nostril breathing or other ways to relax one's body, such as muscle relaxation techniques or body scans? One of our Sangha members is reading Jame Nestor's book; "Breathe: the New Science of a Lost art" and is interested in exploring breathing techniques more deeply with others. Please contact Kirsten, if you'd like to focus on this topic at the center together. If you have an idea for a way to connect off the cushion, please contact me.
