This week, Twin Lakes’ generous residents—through the Resident Auxiliary—shared heartfelt appreciation by gifting each staff member with a cash gift in gratitude for the care and service provided throughout the year. Their annual Tree of Life campaign gathers donations made in honor or memory of loved ones, including members of our staff. The campaign’s slogan, “Light Up the Lives of Our Employees,” feels especially meaningful during this season.

We are deeply humbled by our residents’ kindness and are grateful for the privilege of serving them each day.

For more than 27 years, Twin Lakes residents have embraced the spirit of giving through our “Tree of Life” campaign, honoring and remembering loved ones in a meaningful way. These contributions have enriched our community through projects such as outdoor benches, memorial gardens, and other thoughtful enhancements. At the close of each season, we gather for a special Tree of Life ceremony, where every light on the tree represents a heartfelt gift.

In 2020, the Auxiliary broadened this tradition to include a focus on the staff who serve our community each day. The ceremony now features staff testimonials that offer a glimpse into their experiences at Twin Lakes and reflect their deep appreciation for the generosity of our residents. The event concluded with refreshments and a sense of Christmas spirit shared by all who attended.

Once again, the creativity, teamwork, and dedication of Twin Lakes’ residents and staff—paired with the incredible generosity of our broader community—made this year’s Lanes of Light Holiday Drive-Through a wonderful success. With this year’s total, the Lanes of Light tradition has now generated over 580 tons of food for those in need since its inception. All contributions support the food ministries of The Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels of Alamance County, helping local families during this special season.

Thank you for your continued support of this meaningful tradition. We are grateful for every guest, donor, volunteer, and resident who helped bring this event to life.

Wishing you a joyful holiday season. Merry Christmas!
