Our residents at Addington Place of Burlington got their workout in a fun way — with a lively game of beach ball toss! There were high-flying saves, impressive catches, and a few “Olympic-level” spikes (or at least we like to think so 😉).

The best part? Plenty of laughter, teamwork, and just enough friendly competition to keep everyone on their toes. Staying active doesn’t have to mean treadmills and dumbbells — sometimes all you need is a beach ball and great friends! 💪😄

Our residents from Addington Place of Burlington enjoyed a beautiful outing to Lock and Dam No. 18 this week, and the weather could not have been better! We soaked up the sunshine, watched the boats pass through the locks, and took in those stunning Mississippi River views.

There’s something special about getting out, feeling the breeze, and sharing laughs together in such a scenic spot. Days like this remind us that adventure doesn’t have to be far from home — sometimes it’s right in our own backyard! 🚤🌤️

We had a deliciously delightful afternoon as Beth Fleming joined us to share the history of the Girl Scouts — and yes, there was a cookie tasting involved!

From stories about the founding of the organization in 1912 to how those iconic cookies became a nationwide tradition, Beth brought history to life in the sweetest way possible. Residents loved reminiscing about their own Girl Scout days, leaders they admired, and of course… debating their favorite cookie flavors. (Thin Mints vs. Samoas got pretty competitive!)

It was a perfect mix of learning, laughter, and a little sugar. Moments like these spark memories, encourage conversation, and bring everyone together around something familiar and fun.
