Texas Perinatal Association

Texas Perinatal Association The TPA advocates to improve healthcare for Texas families from preconception through infancy.

The Texas Perinatal Association (TPA) originated from a consortium of health care professionals and consumers that convened in 1976, to specifically address concerns and focus interests in maternal and newborn care. TPA was officially chartered on June 10,1977 and began holding annual educational conferences that same year. TPA also joined the National Perinatal Association (NPA) in 1977 and became an active member in national efforts to improve healthcare for mothers and infants. The Texas Perinatal Association has stayed committed to the mission and vision of the organization, throughout the many years since its inception. Today, TPA is led by a volunteer board of health care professionals and consumers who use their individual talents to help ensure that legacy created so many years ago continues.
