As our family steps into a new and very special season, I want to share an important update about Life Speech Services.

With baby number two on the way and our hearts full, I’ve made the decision to pause services and officially close Life Speech Services at the end of 2025. This wasn’t an easy decision, but it is the right one for our family in this season of growth, change, and reprioritizing what matters most.

To every patient, caregiver, referral partner, and supporter—thank you.

You invited me into your lives during incredibly meaningful moments. You trusted me with your stories, your challenges, your goals, and the parts of communication that matter most. It has been one of the greatest privileges of my career to walk alongside you.

Life Speech Services was built on intention, compassion, and person-centered care—and it has been an honor to serve our community in that way. While this chapter is closing for now, the impact of the work we've done together will stay with me always.

I’m deeply grateful for every referral, every message of encouragement, and every relationship formed along the way. Thank you for believing in me, supporting this practice, and allowing me to be part of your journey toward confidence, safety, and independence.

For now, my focus shifts to welcoming our new little one and embracing this next chapter with my growing family. I hope to return to the work I love in the future, but for now, I’m holding space for rest, motherhood, and the beautiful unknown ahead.

Thank you—from the bottom of my heart—for being part of Life Speech Services.

This community has meant more to me than I can ever fully express.

The moment I realized motherhood had really changed me…

I stopped trying to distract Avery — and started letting her help.
Even when it takes longer.
Even when it’s messier.
Even when it’s imperfect.

Because slowing down to include her matters more than getting it done fast.

Speech therapy and occupational therapy often overlap—but they’re not the same.

SLPs target communication, cognition, and swallowing.

OTs focus on daily tasks like cooking, dressing, and using adaptive tools.

Together, they help patients regain independence.

After a brain injury, attention can be one of the hardest skills to rebuild.

The brain works harder to process, making it tough to stay on task, tune out distractions, and recall details.

Family plays a huge role in therapy.

Caregivers provide insight, reinforce strategies at home, and motivate progress.

When families are involved, patients go further—faster.
