We are genuinely heartbroken at the sensless violence against our state representatives.It takes an incredible amount of grit and passion to be an elected official and its shocking and heartbreaking to have an act of violence harm and end amazing God given lives. We are praying for the families of Rep Hortman and Senator Hoffman.

“My name is Taylor Fox and I am originally from Iowa. I am a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Psychology. After graduation, I moved to Montana and spent my time working as a Paraprofessional during the school year and a raft guide during the summer. My time working in the schools has led me to my love for working with children. As I move to Minnesota, I am excited to work with JCT as well as explore everything Minnesota has to offer.”

Welcome to the Team James Devitt!

“My name is James Devitt. I have been with my lovely wife for 10 years and we have a beautiful daughter that is 8 years old. My daughter has high-functioning ASD. I am her PCA when at home. I have my Master's in Elementary Education. I worked in early childhood education faculties for 15 years before transitioning to applied behavioral analysis. I worked for two and a half years at two companies doing ABA therapy before I started my employment with JTC. This is my first time working in a RDI facility. I am excited to develop relationships with the mindful apprentices at JTC and to gain experience in RDI.”

Welcome to the team Morganna Oberdorfer!

“Hi, my name is Morganna Oberdorfer. Compassion is a very important value to integrate into daily life. Everyone has very different lived experiences, and it is impossible to know what all people are struggling with at any given time. I approach everyone, whether it be in personal, professional, or caregiving settings, with this core value in mind. I graduated from Young Harris College in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. I have been studying Spanish for nineteen years, so I am incredibly proficient in the language. I find a lot of value in learning about the different lives and cultures of other people and being able to connect with people who are different from me. My focus has always been on providing care for others. I have worked extensively with children on the Autism spectrum with a main focus on helping children to believe in themselves and to be
confident in their own abilities. I hope to touch the lives of many, so I am proud to be able to serve my community through JtC AUSM.”

"I had no idea about the impact of having amazing coworkers in a workplace. Since starting at JtC, I've witnessed the influence that each and every one of these providers has on the clients here. Observing the growth each of these clients has made is a beautiful thing to experience. There is a continual drive to do better, learn, and offer suggestions on how we can further improve as a company and as providers. Not a day goes by that I do not laugh, whether because of something a client has said or something one of my coworkers has said. Getting to work one-on-one with the clients here is such a rewarding experience. I get to not only see everyone start to achieve their goals set here at the center, but I also get to see them grow up into amazing human beings! Not a day goes by that I do not feel supported by those around me, and I can then, in turn, use that support to better assist the clients I work with.”

Art Showcase!

To show our officers how much we care and appreciate them, our clients and
Supervisors have visited the Burnsville police department last week. They gave them cards that our clients have made for them along with lunch for the Burnsville police department.

As many of you know our Burnsville city suffered a tremendous loss with the
shooting of 3 officers while they were responding to a domestic incident last
month. We have often relied on the Burnsville police department to offer us help
to maintain safety in the center and the homes of the clients we work with. They
have always been the most professional and kind people to coordinate care with,
so as an organization, we are also deeply hurt by these incidents.

Warm Welcome to Our Newest Members and a Few Words From Them!

Hello, I'm Daria Tahmooressi. Currently working on my bachelor's degree in psychology, I have worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in a variety of company roles for the past four years. I have experience working as a registered behavior technician for the past year. Although my major background is in logistical operations and supply chain enlisted in the MN Army National Guard, and I have developed a genuine passion for working alongside neurodivergent children with disabilities. I hope to further grow my knowledge and skills with my team members at JtC. I am very blessed to be able to work with the staff, clients, and families I support.
