Yancey Center for Physical Therapy will reopen tomorrow, Monday, 10/14. Should you have a PT need through us, or are an existing patient that we have not been able to communicate with to date, please call 828-284-2350, as our landline is still not currently functioning. To the people of Yancey, Mitchell and surrounding counties, you have been unbelievably strong and resilient through this. Thanks also to the outside help , who have responded to the needs of our people. You are remarkable, as well. May God bless each one of you who has responded to the call to your heart.

I certainly realize that physical therapy is the farthest from everyone’s mind at this time, however, I must communicate to those who were scheduled for PT this week upon a scheduled return from our vacation. We will have to assess the situation at our building regarding power and water, what needs to be cleaned up, potentially, from water running down the hill in back and possibly seeping into the building. We will also have to take care of anything at our home, although, it will be very minimal compared to so many of you. I am not even certain as to when there will be a need in our community for PT help, but will try to be available, as soon as next week, Monday, 10/14, if there is a need. Following the heroics and strength of our community through limited media, during this past 8 days, has been reassuring, but not surprising. Outside response has been encouraging, as well. We are disheartened for those who have lost loved ones and properties, but thankful for their faith, and those who have stepped, and at times, literally, rushed into the lion’s den to help. See you soon.

North Carolina LPTA needed for a busy, small out-patient physical therapy practice located in a quaint town setting in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Caseload is primarily orthopaedic and work week is currently Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to approx. 6:30 PM. Friendly, experienced staff and caring work environment. Competitive pay in accordance with experience. Practice established 23+ years.
