My classes include a focus on safety and empowerment in the body, intentional sequencing, and thoughtful themes to infuse the practice with meaning. My goal is to facilitate an experience that allows students to explore embodiment, perspectives, and connect both inward to self and outward to community. The practice of yoga is a ripe opportunity to explore aspects of ourselves and our relationship
with the world. I feel honored to share a taste of the practices and traditions that have been meaningful and beneficial in my own life. I love to teach from a place of mindfulness, with curiosity and recognition of the seasons, elements, and the fluctuations in our lives. I follow a path that emphasizes we are not seeking something outside of ourselves - rather we are developing skillfulness to be aware and attuned to the truths that are ever-present as thread of continuity within the beautiful, chaotic hum of life. I completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training through Rasika Yoga School in November 2016. I taught classes and workshops at Weaverville Yoga from 2017-2019. My training has included the pleasure and privilege of studying with Stacey Millner-Collins, Sarah Faircloth, Rachael Crawford, Serena Crawford, and Douglas Brooks. I have continued to pursue advanced training opportunities, including a special focus on mindfulness and yoga for chronic pain and mental health.
