The stigma surrounding substance use disorder can lead to depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts and actions before an individual finally accepts that they need help. Part of New Season's treatment program includes family, group, and individual counseling to help work through mental and emotional issues and understand not only the root causes of substance use, but also help work through the kinds of issues that lead to suicidal thoughts.

For those suffering with suicidal ideation, it can often be difficult to reach out for help. Today, we're urging everyone take stock of their own mental health and check in with their friends to ensure they're safe and healthy. You never know who is suffering, and you never know how much a simple, honest conversation might help.
