K-B House Earns Prestigious Arboretum Accreditation 🌷🌼🍃🌳

Our community is proud to announce that we have been awarded Level 1 Accreditation by The ArbNet Arboretum Accreditation Program through The Morton Arboretum. This distinction recognizes K-B House for achieving high standards of professional practices important for arboreta and botanic gardens.

🍸 Pop-Up Mingle at King-Bruwaert House 🍸

Our residents had a wonderful time enjoying one of our signature Pop-Up Mingles, a cocktail party that pops up in different locations throughout our community. This time, the fun took over our main lobby!

Staff and residents enjoyed great conversation and even better company. A special shout-out to Anji from our Life Enrichment team for serving as bartender, and you may spot some familiar faces relaxing in the mix, including CEO Rebecca Mathis and Shalena from our Sales & Marketing team.

When Dr. Stephanie Pace Marshall, PhD, moved to King-Bruwaert (K-B) House senior living community in Burr Ridge/Hinsdale in May 2024, she did not arrive in order to slow down. At 80, she remains deeply engaged in the world, serving on boards of directors, accepting speaking invitations, and completing her third book. Retirement was never part of her plan.

🎶 The Jolly Boys at K-B House 🎶

Our community was excited to welcome back The Jolly Boys, a volunteer men’s chorus from the Western Suburbs with over 75 years of history. A favorite guest at K-B House, they always sing to a packed house, and we’re proud that some of our residents have performed with them.
