A new Spectrum community is taking shape in Scottsdale, AZ! 💫

The Pavilion at Camelback, our newest Assisted Living and Memory Care community, just reached a major construction milestone with the completion of the final secant pile wall. A huge thank-you to our partners at Catamount Constructors, Buesing Corp, and Vessel Architecture for helping us lay the groundwork (literally!) for what’s to come.

With 104 residences and nearly 100,000 square feet of purposeful spaces, this community will blend vibrant design, connection, and comfort for the next generation of older adults.

Our residents spent a truly special day at the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe, IL — where beauty unfolded at every turn. From strolling through vibrant flower beds and serene Japanese gardens to pausing by peaceful lakeside paths, the experience was filled with wonder. Laughter, stories, and heartfelt reflection bloomed alongside the fragrant flowers. For some, it was a brand-new adventure; for others, a return to a cherished place. For all, it was a reminder of how nature nourishes both the soul and the spirit. 🌸✨

🎨 What if a painted umbrella could raise Alzheimer’s awareness? It can — and it is.

The competition is a creative social media campaign led by Spectrum Retirement senior living communities in support of Alzheimer's Association. Each community designed a hand-painted Artbrella to honor those impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Burr Ridge Senior Living is proudly representing our region with “Rainy Daze & Daisies” — more than a painted umbrella, it’s a symbol of hope, memory, and resilience. The yellow daisies blooming across its canopy were inspired by the warmth and brightness we wish to hold onto, even on life’s rainiest days.

For those living with Alzheimer’s, days can sometimes feel clouded or foggy — like a steady drizzle that blurs familiar paths. But the daisy, with its sunny face and unshakable cheer, reminds us that beauty and joy can still break through. Each blossom painted here stands for a cherished moment, a smile, or a shared laugh — memories worth sheltering from the downpour.

This Artbrella tells the story of carrying light through the storm, reminding us that love, like a daisy in spring, can outlast the rain.

We were thrilled to welcome Hinsdale Humane Society to Burr Ridge Senior Living for a very special Pet Therapy visit in Memory Care. The smiles, cuddles, and tail wags brought pure joy to our residents and staff alike.

On Wednesday, they rolled up their sleeves to make homemade dog treats for the Hinsdale Humane Society—just in time for today’s Pet Therapy visit.
