Walking through the front doors of Burton Health Care Center, visitors soon discover the true definition of "home away from home." Just minutes from Middlefield and Chardon, when you come to visit Burton Health Care, just opening the doors allows the warm country atmosphere to pull you in. The comfortable chairs around the fireplace, the gentle sounds from the grandfather clock, the photo album on the table with pictures of our families' memories, all contribute to the relaxed feeling of being close to home. Burton Health Care Center also provides a Short Term Therapy Unit. Located within our home, we have dedicated a wing solely for those in need of short term therapy. We can provide post surgical care for many orthopedic procedures such as hip/knee replacements, rotator cuff surgeries and fractures. In addition to general orthopedic care we also provided extended medical care, wound care, and cardio/pulmonary rehabilitation. Our goal is to return patients to their normal living environment as soon as possible.

With grateful hearts, we honor the veterans who walk our hallways everyday.
We are especially honored to have two Purple Heart veterans in our building, to recognize these Veterans bravery we have proudly placed Purple Heart emblems outside their doors as a small symbol of our deepest respect and gratitude.
It is a privilege to care for and serve those who have given so much for our country. We are proud of our VA contract and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those who made a difference in ours. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Today’s lunch was a home cooked comfort food favorite!
Residents enjoyed a delicious meal of country fried steak with mashed red-skinned potatoes smothered in rich country gravy, savory green beans with bacon, and for dessert a fresh, sweet strawberry pretzel salad.

Last evening, Our Activity Director Cindy & Admissions Nurse Kimberly had the pleasure of taking three of our Veterans to the Middlefield VFW Post 9678 & from the moment they walked in, they were welcomed like family.
The laughter, the stories, the camaraderie, it was truly something so incredibly special.
Watching our Veterans light up while shooting pool, swapping memories with fellow servicemen, & enjoying a delicious dinner together was something truly special.
We would like to extend a very special Thank You to Commander Gardner for going above and beyond to make the night unforgettable for our Veterans. The kindness & generosity from everyone created memories our Veterans will cherish, and we cannot say thank you enough for honoring them in such a meaningful way. 🇺🇸

What a shamrockin’ good time we had today. Our St. Patrick’s Day celebration was bursting with laughter, yummy treats & so much festive cheer as our residents & staff filled the main dining room with joy & pure excitement.
From genuine smiles to full hearts, the room was alive with togetherness.
There’s nothing better than moments like these, the laughter we share, the memories we make & those simple moments that make you feel at home.

WOW… what an evening!!! 🍝🇺🇸❤️
We had the pleasure of cooking and sponsoring a homemade spaghetti & meatball dinner at the Middlefield VFW Post 9678 and what an INCREDIBLE turnout! The VFW was packed, the plates were full, and the energy in the room was amazing from start to finish.

One of the most special moments of the evening was bringing a couple of our very own veterans from our facility to attend the dinner. Seeing them surrounded by community support, laughter, and appreciation made the night even more meaningful, they didnt want to leave & have already asked when they can go back. 🇺🇸

We are beyond grateful to VFW Post 9678 for partnering with us to co-host this fundraiser. And to everyone who dined in, grabbed a to-go meal or simply showed your support we THANK YOU!

Great food. Great people. Great cause. This is what community is all about and we are so proud to be a part of it. ❤️

YOU scream, WE scream, we ALL scream for ICE CREAM! 🍦
Today the residents of Burton Health Care Center enjoyed a sweet little adventure with an outing to Cowboy Creamery in Middlefield and boy was it DELICIOUS!
From classic favorites to unique creations, there were lots of smiles, laughter even a few extra sprinkles on top.
We love creating moments that are full of joy and especially sweet treats & today was a perfect reminder that life is better with ice cream and special friends to share it with.
