We had a toe-tappin’ good ‘ol time this afternoon at Burton Health Care with live entertainment by Dan Karl!
Residents enjoyed music, dancing, and lots of smiles as we sang along and danced the afternoon away. What a fun-filled afternoon had by all.

WHAT A WEEK TO REMEMBER at Burton Health Care Center ✈️
Day 5 marked the FINAL stop on our Armchair Adventures for National Nursing Home Week and we ended our adventures with a beautiful trip to Holland!
The morning was spent planting flowers. Our residents smiles were blooming right along with the flowers.
After our trip abroad we jumped back on the plane & headed home just in time for our residents & staff to enjoy an incredible BBQ lunch. Nothing says WELCOME HOME like good food with great company.
The fun continued well into the afternoon with tasty ice cream sandwiches & refreshing lemon shakes the perfect ending to the sweetest week ever!
This entire week has been packed full of fun, creativity, music, dancing, delicious food, and unforgettable adventures across the world. 🌍✈️
Our residents experienced:

🇲🇽 Mexico
🇳🇱 Holland
Every day brought brand new excitement and new memories, proving that an adventure truly can happen anywhere.

We may have unpacked our travel bags but the memories from this week will last forever. ✈️🌎

Day 4 of our Arm Chair Adventures for National Nursing Home Week took us south of the border to Mexico.
Our morning started with residents making colorful flower barrettes and festive sombreros, bringing big smiles and even bigger “FIESTA” energy.
Lunch was packed with flavor and definitely worth a second helping with a delicious cheesy beef enchilada bake, Spanish rice, cilantro poblano corn, and sweet Tres Leches cake for dessert.
The afternoon was a FIESTA with the dining room coming alive with live entertainment, dancing, mock margaritas and a yummy nacho & cheese bar that kept everyone coming back for more of the “CHEESY” goodness! The room was filled with dancing feet, clapping hands & the brightest of smiles.
We are loving every moment of our Arm Chair Adventures! ✈️🌎

Entertainment was provided by Perfect Occasions Costumes & Magic in Middlefield. Thank you for spending the afternoon with us.

HOLD ON TO YOUR SAFARI HATS!! Day 3 of National Skilled Nursing Week at Burton Health Care was a WILD one as our Arm Chair Travels took us all the way to Africa! ✈️🐘🌴
The jungle excitement started first thing this morning with our adorable Pet Parade filled with furry animals & smiling faces. Our residents absolutely loved every minute of this “PAWS”-itively perfect morning!
Then this afternoon, it was time to head out on a SAFARI! Residents decorated their very own safari hats, adopted jungle animals, and enjoyed some delicious jungle-themed treats that were simply “ROAR”-some!
Today was packed with adventure, laughter, and so much fun we’ll never forget. Everyone is enjoying traveling the world together during National Skilled Nursing Week and we can’t wait to see where our next adventure will take us!

🇮🇹✈️ Ciao from Italy!
Day 2 of National Nursing Home Week at Burton Health Care was PASTA-tively amazing!
Today our residents and staff packed their imaginary bags and flew off on another exciting Arm Chair Adventure this time to beautiful Italy! 🇮🇹
We started off our Italian getaway this morning decorating pizza-shaped stickers, rocking fun mustaches, and getting some Italian-themed tattoos.
Lunch was bellissimo with angel hair pasta & meatballs, Italian green beans, and refreshing lemon ice.
The fun kept on going well into the afternoon with a delicious pizza tasting featuring so many tasty choices made by our wonderful kitchen staff, along with a sparkling “wine” tasting using grape juice. 🍷
Residents also tested their skills in our hilarious game of “Get the Meatball in the Spaghetti!” 😂🍝
Our day was filled with so many smiles, memories, and a whole lot of Italian fun. Our residents & staff are loving every minute of our adventures around the world this week! 🌍

✈️🌸 Burton Health Care is officially taking off for National Nursing Home Week our first stop: JAPAN! 🇯🇵❤️
Today our residents enjoyed an exciting Armchair Adventure to Japan filled with fun, creativity, and delicious food from start to finish. The morning was busy as everyone got their passports prepared, stamped, and ready before boarding our “flight” for the day’s adventure.
Our Residents enjoyed a tasty Japanese-inspired lunch featuring:
Orange Chicken, White Rice, Oriental Vegetables, Mandarin Oranges & Fortune Cookies.
The fun continued into the afternoon with yummy dessert sushi and beautiful cherry blossom paintings that brought out everyone’s creativity.
What an amazing way to kick off National Nursing Home Week! We cannot wait to see where our next adventure takes us. 🌎

Happy Nurses Week to our amazing nurses at Burton Health Care. 🩺💙
This past week, we had the privilege of celebrating the incredible nurses who care for our residents with compassion, dedication, and heart every single day. Throughout the week, our nurses were entered into daily prize drawings as a small way to show our appreciation for all they do.
We are so grateful for the generous gifts donated for these drawings by these amazing vendors: Mighty Fine Stained Glass, Wooden Barn Shop, Stitches By Stephanie, Chalkin with Amber Skye, and Jessica’s Junk Journals. Our nurses were so excited when they won, and it was wonderful to see so many smiles throughout the week. Your kindness and generosity helped make this week extra special. Thank you.
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Open Waters for providing a delicious lunch of grilled burgers & hot dogs, to David Blech and his office staff for donating a wonderful box of snacks, and to Candles By Kimberly for the thoughtful donation for each of our nurses.
To our nurses — thank you for the comfort you give, the strength you show, and the difference you make every single day. We appreciate you not just during Nurses Week, but all year long. 💙

What a sweet adventure for our residents at Burton Health Care Center!
We took a fun trip to Daffin's Candies in Sharon, Pennsylvania. There was lots of excitement, smiles, and plenty of delicious treats as everyone explored the store and picked out their favorites.
Our residents had such a great time and enjoyed their special day out.
