Good afternoon! This is your reminder regarding our Meijer (Center Rd.) grocery store trip with a registered dietitian THIS SUNDAY, Oct. 26th at 2pm. Please meet inside near Lee Nail Salon. If you are part of our research group and you didn’t sign up for this field trip, you can still join us!

On Friday, October 17, staff from all three sites currently participating in the Citizenship for Health Project met at Wayne State University. Though we’ve met on Zoom several times over the past 2 years, this was the first time many of us met in person! We shared a healthy meal and we shared our thoughts and insights on the project’s impact on each of our communities.

Good morning everyone! We are one week away from our next meeting on October 12.

A few reminders:

⭐️Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in.

⭐️Please return your completed step tracking sheets to Cindy when you check in for the meeting.

⭐️While our walking groups are open to all, our monthly meetings are closed to anyone outside of our regular participants. Please refrain from encouraging anyone outside of our regular participants to join our meetings.

This group did a fantastic job manning the Citizenship for Health table at the Bentley Back to School event last week! We gave away insulated lunch bags, school supplies, fruit, healthy recipes, and walking schedules to anyone willing to demonstrate some jumping jacks, jump rope, or show us how to crab walk. Fun was had by all!

Just wanted to remind everyone who signed up to help that today is the Bentley Schools open house. I will be arriving at 3:30 to set up and the event starts at 4. We will most likely be somewhere on the grassy part of the circle drive in front of the HS. ✏️ 🍎
