All the eggs a woman will ever have are formed while she herself is still a four-month-old fetus in her mother’s womb.
This means that our cellular life begins in our grandmother’s body.
We enter this world already woven into our mother’s rhythm.
Her heartbeat.
Her breath.
Her hormonal tides, her emotions, her stress, her love.
A child is never born from “zero.”
They are shaped within their mother’s physiological and emotional field.
That is why, in CranioSacral Therapy, working only with the child is often like trying to improve posture while standing on one leg.
You may see improvement — but true stability comes when both feet are grounded.
The mother is the second point of support.
A child’s nervous system is deeply synchronized with the mother’s.
Their body responds not only to their own experiences, but to the subtle regulatory patterns of the maternal system.
When we gently work with the mother,
we release tension from the entire relational field.
When the mother’s nervous system settles,
the child receives a new signal of safety.
This is not about abstract “programming.”
It is about biology of connection.
About co-regulation.
About rhythms formed long before birth.
CranioSacral Therapy is not just about the skull or the sacrum.
It is about supporting the primary breath of the system.
And the mother-child system is one living circuit.
Working only with the child
is like watering the leaves while ignoring the roots.
Working with both
creates stability along the whole family axis.
