Jaymee Krauter, LPC

Jaymee Krauter, LPC I’m a Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant-in-Training. I specialize in childhood trauma, attachment trauma, and anxiety disorders. And trauma can be healed.

I’m a Certified EMDR Therapist & Consultant-in-Training, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I became a trauma therapist after doing my own work to heal childhood trauma. It was in therapy that I learned that the root of my problems resulted from attachment trauma and that I had Complex PTSD. That realization created a complete paradigm shift. Discovering that I wasn’t the problem—that my trauma was—was both shocking and liberating. That truth opened the door to self-compassion, and that’s where my healing truly began. My life experience, education, and ongoing professional development have helped me connect with clients on a deep, intuitive level. I “get” them—and they feel that. I build strong rapport because I can hold space without judgment, and nothing brings me more satisfaction than watching someone realize they are not permanently damaged—they were traumatized.

The holidays have a way of stirring up attachment wounds, activating familiar family roles, and leaving both clients—and therapists—with an emotional hangover. This consultation group is designed to support EMDR therapists as they help their clients process the triggers that emerged while visiting family and prepare for future encounters with greater stability and self-compassion. Together, we’ll use the AIP model and the 8 Phases of EMDR as our framework to conceptualize and treat holiday activation. Sign up today!

Virtual Co-Working Session link below!

Coworking aka Body Doubling is a simple, practical strategy where you do a task in the presence of another person—either in the same room or virtually—to make it easier to start, stay focused, and finish.

Why it works:
•Another human nearby can help the brain feel regulated and supported
•It adds accountability without pressure
•It reduces overwhelm and procrastination, especially for tasks that feel boring

For a lot of people, motivation doesn’t come before action—it shows up because someone else is present.

What it can look like:
•Working quietly at the same table
•A virtual coworking call where everyone mutes and works
•Cleaning while someone else does their own task nearby
•Studying or paperwork with a friend on FaceTime

You’re not doing the same thing. You’re just doing your own thing, together.

Who it’s helpful for:
•Folks with ADHD or executive functioning challenges
•People who get stuck starting tasks
•Anyone who feels more grounded and productive with connection rather than isolation

Needing body doubling isn’t a flaw or a lack of discipline. It’s information about how your nervous system works. Some brains are wired to function better with others—and that’s not only normal, it’s efficient!

Hi Everyone! I hope you are enjoying the holidays and even taking some time off. I know that isn't a luxury many of us can afford, but even one intentional day off helps.

Many of you know me as an EMDR Therapist, but I am also a EMDR Consultant-in-Training. Starting in January, I'm offering individual consultation and two new consultation groups at a low rate. One group is a 5 month consultation cohort and the other group is to support therapists with clients over the holidays. Check out my website for more information.

I'll also be running a professional development group in February called Overcoming Underearning: An Experiential Book Study for Professionals. We’ll explore the concept of self-imposed underearning and look at underearning as a form of deprivation—shaped by beliefs, attitudes, and internalized messages that can quietly limit us.

Many people seek therapy because they're tired of the same emotional patterns, persistent anxiety, or a lingering sense that something is wrong with them. While life on the outside might look "fine," their internal experience can be anything but.

An EMDR Intensive offers a powerful and focused path to shift these dynamics. It doesn't involve spending years in therapy. Instead, we create dedicated time to hyperfocus on the specific issue so that your system can reprocess and integrate distressing experiences. The results? Clients often report a significant reduction in the symptoms, leading to a noticeable decrease in daily triggers and greater peace.

Imagine moving through life with newfound clarity, increased confidence, and peace where paralyzing anxiety once lived. This transformative process allows you to release what no longer belongs to you and reconnect with the version of yourself that feels grounded, whole, and deeply empowered. This isn't just about managing; it's about truly healing and reclaiming your well-being.

Do you constantly feel like something is holding you back, even after trying different approaches? Many people experience the lingering effects of past events, leading to anxiety, persistent emotional patterns, or a sense of being stuck. Traditional therapy is incredibly valuable, but sometimes a more concentrated approach can unlock deeper, faster healing.

EMDR Intensives are designed for those ready to dive deep and make significant progress efficiently. Imagine having dedicated time to truly process and release what no longer serves you, without the week-long gaps. This focused work can be incredibly liberating, leading to reduced emotional charge around past events, greater clarity, and increased confidence in your daily life.

Whether you're dealing with acute distress, complex trauma, or simply seeking a more efficient path to well-being, an EMDR Intensive might be the transformative step you've been looking for. It's about moving forward with care and intention.
