Long post ahead! I haven't wanted to say anything until I had talked with kids and family first, and to be honest I've just been speechless and numb. I've had several people reaching out to me about my health issues wanting a update of my appointment last week, I'm sad to say that it did not go well!😪 it's alot😫... also I'm gonna put it cut and dry. Because of all the hernia mesh surgeries I've had to have the last 1 1/2 years, I now have developed some very serious life-threatening issues. I am needing a complete stomach lining reconstruction but with my issues it makes it extremely High risk and they are not sure they can even get it done with my stomach frozen. They give me a 50/50 survival rate with absolutely no quarentees of the outcome if I do survive. If I don't do it he gives me less than a year. With all that being said I will be having the surgery on July 18th, I will also once again start posting on my Melissa's medical journey page if you'd like to follow. I haven't posted since my appointment with the surgeon on friday. Because to be honest I have no words right now. On top of everything else I found out that I now have what they call frozen stomach. That puts me at even higher risk for the surgery I'm needing. He says there is no guarantee but this is our last attempt to get this fixed and whatever we end up with will be what I deal with for the rest of my life. We are looking at 10-14 hours in the operating room, life support and icu for several days, 2 to 3 week hospital stay then a rehab facility. I will meet back with the surgeon on the 24th he has some studying to do on my case and I have some big decisions to make before then. Please just keep me and my family in prayer. And for those who don't know what frozen stomach is this may help you to understand.

Not much to update other than I'm sick and tired of bring sick and tired! On a Happier note, I did get confirmation this morning that the mesh that used in me originally has been recalled and pulled from the shelves. I have been terrified of even the thought that I could possibly end up with that same type of mesh....Thank you Lord, I see you working!!

Haven't posted in a few days because I've been playing the waiting game. But yesterday was a bad day and I spent the entire day in the er with them trying to get my pain and Blood pressure under control. They done more scans and have found that not only do i have the huge ventral incarcerated hernia, since last week's scan 2 more hernias have popped up around my ambilical area. Evidently with all the previous surgeries and trauma it has severely weakend my stomach lining and it will require a complete stomach lining reconstruction. They are putting together a team for me this week and we will meet with some of them and surgeon on Friday the 5th at 9:15. Said it will be a day full of meetings and discussions. Please continue to lift me up in prayer and pray specifically that the Lord will hand pic and provide for me the perfect team. Thank you all in advance.

I got confirmation this morning that they received my referral and I have got accepted to University Health Truman Medical Center In Kansas City.🙌🙌 Now I await the call to see when I can get in. Just please pray that this isn't a long process and I can get in quickly. Also continue to Pray for the pain, the daily nausea and sickness, my Blood pressure and my mental health!😫 much love and many thanks to you all.❤️

Well I have alittle bit of good news. One prayer I believe is being answered.🙌 I Got a call from Dr.Ellisons office this afternoon and they have sent the referral to University Health Truman Medial Center In kansas City. I also spoke with someone from there that feels confident they will accept me and we now have a exact emergency plan in order If things should continue to go South before I get in to see the surgeon. I don't have a date for all that yet, but I ask you all to stay in Prayer that if this is God's will I will certainly be accepted here and won't have to go futher away from my family. Love and appreciate you all!🥰🙏🙏
