The BMH Foundation annually awards two $2,500 scholarships to Independence Health System employees who work in Butler or Clarion who are furthering their career in the healthcare industry, specifically in the Nursing field. The scholarship is funded through the Carol and Richard Dietrich Educational Fund, managed by the BMH Foundation.

This year's winners are Donna Tucker and Nathaniel Weber.

Donna works as a medical assistant with the BMP Clarion Residency program. She will be attending PennWest University, Clarion to study nursing.

Nathaniel works at Butler Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Department as an Emergency Care Tech. He will be attending AHN's Citizen's School of Nursing. He also aspires to become a nurse.

Winners were chosen by a committee. There were 18 applicants this year.

On Monday, June 16th, nearly 140 golfers enjoyed a day out at the Butler Country Club to support the Butler Memorial Hospital Foundation. Golfers enjoyed playing the beautiful course, entering the prize raffle, receiving special gifts, and enjoying a delicious lunch and dinner. Funds raised from this event support programs and services at Butler Memorial Hospital who provides health for all in our communities.

The Butler County Bar Association presented a $4,500 check to Butler Memorial Hospital in support of guardianship services as part of its 2025 grant presentation held on June 25.

Butler Memorial Hospital follows a structured process to identify and assist vulnerable individuals, working closely with legal professionals and social services to facilitate guardianship petitions which ensure patients receive the necessary care and resources needed.

Dress for Success 2025 hosted by the BMH Foundation was a blast! The day was full of sunshine, smiles, and lots of stylish looks. Thank you to our community partner, Dress for Success Pittsburgh for bringing the mobile boutique, scrubs, clothes, and lots more.

Nearly 30 Butler Employees shopped for free - one participant said "I'm so excited for today because I don't have any scrubs!"

The BMH Foundation is grateful to be an integral part of health for all in our communities.

The Butler Memorial Hospital Foundation’s 2025 Glitz and Glam Gala was held on Saturday, March 8th. It was a great event with over 200 guests enjoying the Roaring Twenties themed festivities. Check out some photos from the event below!

Proceeds from the event supported the purchase of a heart-lung machine for patients undergoing open heart surgery. Independence Health System is committed to providing the highest level of care to our patients, and we appreciate all of the support that helped to purchase this vital piece of equipment.
