Freestone, Limestone, Navarro, Anderson, Henderson, Leon, Van Zandt, and Robertson Counties.

From 6 PM Saturday to noon CST Monday.
Impacts
The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 5 below zero could result in hypothermia or frostbite on exposed skin if precautions are not taken.

Summary
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside.

Freestone County will have five warming shelter locations available throughout the weekend to help residents stay safe during the cold weather.

Please note: All locations are subject to potential power outages if their area loses electricity. If a shelter loses power, we will reevaluate and work to secure an alternate location with power, if available.

The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 10 below zero could result in hypothermia or frostbite on exposed skin if precautions are not taken.

Summary
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside. Make frequent checks on vulnerable family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.
