This month, we recognize Kaitlin; in housekeeping as our Employee of the Month. She truly embodies perseverance. With a favorite color of teal and a Vanilla Coke often close by. She brings a calm, steady energy to everything she does. She enjoys the simple comforts in life, whether it’s steak for dinner, a Snickers for a sweet treat, or indulging in strawberry shortcake or Hershey’s pie. Texas Roadhouse is a favorite spot, and when it’s time to relax, she enjoys just relaxing and watching Netflix, especially during her favorite season, of spring. A fan of the movie Walk. Ride. Rodeo. and music by Megan Moroney, she finds balance between hard work and well-earned downtime. What truly sets Kaitlin apart is that her favorite hobby is work, and her favorite part of working here is our residents. Her compassion, and dedication, make a difference every single day. Guided by the motto “Just keep swimming,” she faces challenges with strength and determination. We are grateful for what she does and are proud to recognize Kaitlin as our Employee of the Month.

Residents were treated to a heartwarming performance of Christmas carols by students from Adrian High School. The familiar melodies filled the building with joy and holiday spirit, bringing smiles, laughter, and moments of reflection to many. Several residents appeared visibly moved, singing along, tapping their feet, or sharing memories the music stirred. The students’ kindness and enthusiasm created a meaningful connection across generations, reminding everyone of the warmth, tradition, and togetherness that the holiday season brings. The visit was deeply appreciated and left a lasting sense of comfort and cheer throughout the facility. 🎄

Here we are, smack dab in the middle of the week
that magical day when caffeine becomes a personality trait and laughter echoes down the halls like therapy for the soul.
We’ve seen smiles, heard jokes, solved puzzles, told stories, and shared a few “giggle-fit moments” that probably should’ve been recorded for a comedy special.
It’s the perfect kind of busy — where everyone is working hard, but nobody forgets to have a little fun along the way.

Bill’s Success Story 🏆

When Bill arrived at Butler Rehab and Healthcare Center after experiencing a stroke, he faced overwhelming challenges: severe weakness along his entire left side, difficulty speaking, and trouble swallowing. Tasks that once came naturally—buttoning a shirt, lifting a fork, taking steady steps, forming words—had suddenly become obstacles.
But from the moment he began his rehabilitation journey, Bill showed something stronger than any setback: unshakable determination.
Our therapy team immediately put a comprehensive plan into action, focusing on rebuilding his strength, improving his daily living skills, enhancing his speech, and restoring fine-motor coordination. Bill committed himself fully, attending therapy for several hours each day and doing additional exercises on his own. His goal was clear—to be home by Christmas—and together, we worked toward that milestone.
Then something remarkable happened.
Bill didn’t just meet his goal… he surpassed it.
Through hard work, consistency, and an incredible spirit, Bill progressed far faster than anyone predicted. His recovery accelerated so quickly that he was ready to return home before Thanksgiving—a true testament to his perseverance and positive attitude.
We could not be more proud of him.
We also want to honor his wife, Nan, whose constant support, involvement, and encouragement played a vital role in his success. Her dedication was a beautiful reminder that recovery is not just a medical journey—it’s a team effort, strengthened by love and partnership.
Bill’s story is one of resilience, hope, and the power of never giving up. We are grateful to have been part of his journey and thrilled to celebrate this incredible achievement.
