Are you aware of the mental health benefits that adult coloring can bring to you? 🕉🎨👀

According to the American Art Therapy Association, art therapy is a mental health profession in which the process of making and creating artwork is used to "explore feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, foster self-awareness, manage behavior and addictions, develop social skills, improve reality orientation, reduce anxiety and increase self-esteem."
Yet art therapy is not only about learning and improving yourself — it's a means of personal expression, too.

Despite the fact that coloring and art therapy aren't quite the same thing, coloring does offer a slew of mental benefits. Coloring definitely has therapeutic potential to reduce anxiety, create focus or bring about more mindfulness.
Just like meditation, coloring also allows us to switch off our brains from other thoughts and focus only on the moment, helping to alleviate free-floating anxiety.

So grab your crayons and get to work! You might feel really calm afterwards and you'll have a fun masterpiece to be proud of!

Happy Soul Creation’s (formerly Wild Hearts Handmade Jewelry) was born in 2014 when I decided that I had enough inventory to share my jewelry with all of you. I started sharing through online platforms and with my local communities by having in home parties and selling at local markets and events. I explored different opportunities and outlets as far as how I could sell. Markets have always been my favorite! The energy is so big and positive when there are so many like-minded people who share the same appreciation for handmade and local items gathered in one place. Seeing the look on someone’s face when they like what they see just makes me feel so proud.

I experimented with all kinds of materials and techniques. As my interest in holistic anatomy grew, so did my interest in healing crystals. They radiate so much good energy and positive healing properties. My intention is to spread that energy along with love to all of you through my jewelry. Each piece makes me feel something different. No crystal is the same, therefore, each piece is unique in it’s own special way.

After being just a step away from the salty Pacific for 7 years, I decided to move back to the good ol’ mid west where I am continuing to pursue the growth of my small business. I still specialize in handmade jewelry but I am also in the works of creating different inventory such as home decor and dream catchers. I’d also like to begin offering calligraphy services to local businesses. I am so excited for this next chapter of my business and can’t wait to share it with all of you!
