We were excited to take part in a Valentine’s Day card exchange organized by Concordia at Cabot’s Adult Day Services!

This week, our clients created and decorated beautiful cards that will be shared with seniors attending the program. Concordia's goal is to collect 50 cards from the community, and in return, the seniors will send thank you cards back to participants.

We’re truly grateful our clients had the opportunity to be part of something that spreads kindness within our community!

Our Executive Director, Joe Mahoney and Medical Director, Dr. C. Thomas Brophy were recently guests on the GreeneScene Magazine Podcast to talk about the Gaiser Center’s plans to open a new treatment facility in Carmichaels in 2026.

They discuss why this expansion matters for Greene County, what effective treatment actually looks like, and how communities benefit when care is focused on recovery rather than punishment. The conversation also touches on stigma, alcohol use, and the realities people and families are facing right now.
