All Veterans, their families, caregivers and survivors are invited to learn more about the PACT Act, toxic exposure and screenings, Veteran benefits and claims, women's health, health and wellness, su***de prevention, whole health, nutrition, telehealth, caregiver support, volunteer opportunities, and many other programs. On-site VA health care enrollment will be available. Veterans need to bring a copy of their DD-214 to start the enrollment process. Thank you to the Auxiliary and members of VFW Post 499 for their generous donation of $2,000 to the Butler VA's Creative Arts Program and $3,000 to the Veterans Homeless Program. Auxiliary and members of the post presented the checks at the Summer VET Fest and Creative Arts Festival held on Tuesday, August 12. Thank you to the post for also supporting the Summer VET Fest event.

Join us tomorrow, August 15, to learn more about Beneficiary Travel.

VA Beneficiary Travel reimburses eligible Veterans and caregivers for mileage to and from VA and Non-VA authorized appointments. Through this education series, Veterans, their families, and caregivers will learn about eligibility requirements and the possible reasons a claim might be denied or partially paid. Step-by-step instructions on filing a travel claim will be provided. A Q&A session will follow the formal presentation. Staff will be available to assist as needed.

Congratulations to Navy Veteran John Kellner who achieved 10 medals out of 14 events at The 44th Annual National Veterans Wheelchair Games held in Minneapolis, Minnesota last month. John has been competing since 2011. His relentless dedication to excellence is evident in his achievements, who has won 36 gold, 13 silver, and 13 bronze medals. He plans to compete in the 2026 national wheelchair games which is scheduled to take place in Detroit, Michigan.

John serves as the VA Voluntary Services (VAVS) Representative for the Keystone Paralyzed Veterans at the Butler VA and is an active volunteer supporting Veterans.
